Haha... if they accept Intl students; then it's safe to say that they'll understand english.
You wouldn't want to be asking questions in Japanese and getting a whole load of replies back in Japanese... then it'll be more confusing. rclxub.gif

Well...Not trying to be cheap or stingy here ... I wanna ask wether this is a standard price for a school Fee in an University . Normally its 3-4 years . I think the fees to study in Australia Uni is around the same right ?

Undergraduate StudentsEntrance
Examination fee ¥17,000
Admission fee
(one-off) ¥282,000
Tuition ¥535,800/per year
(¥267,900/per semester)

A year prolly around Rm30k-40k

Rm 647+ Rm10000+m20000

Rm30647 for a year in Tokyo . ( For Degree )

one thing I find hard about Japan is their currency ... 100 yen = Rm3.80 ( Roughly )

Then those stuffs like soo pricey...End up converting below expectation ... If you get what I mean ... Ha ... roughly 10k yen is enuff for a month ?

One easy way of looking at Japanese yen is to treat it as if 100 JPY = RM1 (in terms of expenditure).

Here's a few examples :-
McD meal sets = average 600-800 JPY (RM6-8 bucks - which is close to prices in Malaysia although I think it's more of RM8-10 buck / meal now).
Simple meal in Japanese restaurant = average 800-1000 JPY (RM8-10).
Tokyu Bus ticket = average 210 JPY (RM2.10).
JR Yamanote train tix = average 150 JPY (RM1.50)

Thus using this scale; you can plan your estimated expenditure (for food and transports) as per your cost of living back in Malaysia in total then convert it to MYR. So, your original 10,000 JPY / month only equals to roughly RM100 which is definitely not enough.

Here's a previous post from clemong_888 which might be useful - http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=21712910

Oh...I get it ... Clemong's calculation is JPY 100,000 per month ... Rm1k per month ?

I think if we calculate it up ... The living expenses between Tokyo and KL ... Roughly the same . High cost ...

Yeap ... you get the idea now. smile.gif I think as a student; RM1k/month is good enough to live comfortably don't you think?

Anyway, that's the usual scale that I will tell ppl if they're planning trips to Tokyo. It's a simple method to work out the cost estimates without trying to figure out the exchange rates first.

Hmm ... Rm1k per month ... 100,000JPY = RM 3800

3 thousand per month ... Kinda costly ... But not neccesary everyone is 3 thousand right ?

Well, that's cause Japanese yen has gone up quite a lot in the past 2 months. Also, 100k yen/month is not a lot at all. It's enough to get by but if you're in Tokyo; you'll be looking at a slightly higher expenditure as accommodation as well as entertainment cost will definitely go up.
