HP its not meant for stylo, its for communication purpose and we are not back to the future...we are ahead in our life, doesnt matter in Japan or anywhere. MOILE PHONE is important! rclxms.gif
agree with: necrox77, how out emergencies? we are not a God then..sometimes please be logic lol hehehe hmm.gif

i lived without a phone for my first 2months, u need to be 20 yrs old to be able to sign for your own phone. o not the process is abit complicated. i def could live without one but it was abit inconvenient esp when im traveling or meeting people. how much do u use your phone back in msia? patterns shudnt change tht much. i dont use mine often, my bill rarely goes over 2000yen, which im sure is cheap for the conveniene u get. but if u think u can live without one, by all means do so. yes, its important but its not impossible. i lived without one for 17 years of my life. having a mobile phone is a good way to make frens tho, exchange contacts and so on. my advice, get one, its not really tht exp if u limit your usage.

QUOTE(firedauz @ Jan 28 2009, 01:45 AM)
Something horrible happened today.

I was on my way back from lunch using the Yamanote Line, and apparently before I reached Ikebukuro Station (I was at Takadanobaba Station), the train was stopped by an emergency brake. It was a long wait, and the conductor kept informing us on any updates to resume traveling. So until 1:30pm did the train moves again and I finally reach Ikebukuro.

On reaching there, I saw lots of police and medical units, as well as JR staff running around, and right on the other side of the track (where my train was supposed to arrive), was a blue plastic wall being set-up to cover the sideline of the track from the public to see what is inside. One look at that blue plastic wall and I can already guess what is inside it (since I've seen it before during the Akihabara massacre) -- someone must've fallen off the track and well, got mowed by the train.... shocking.gif

I can't find the news on Japan Today or anywhere else, so just wonder if anyone else can confirm this.
*
i thought its quite normal for these kinda accidents in tokyo. everytime im there there's surely a line delayed cos of it... and if it didnt make d news, i would suspect its a suicide...

1- Is this pork or chicken?
2- Ho much?

And lets say if u buy sake in Japan, can i bring it back?I mean im buying outisde the airport(but which one is cheaper?Outside airport or selling at normal shop?
*
1.kore wa buta niku desu ka? tori niku desu ka? oh, its generally understood tht niku only is referred to pork as well
2. ikura desu ka?

yea, def can bring it back, 1litre limit still applies though whether u buy outside from airport o not. but i usually buy one outside, check it in (yes u must with liquid regulations) and buy another at the airport and slip pass customs back in malaysia. prices are roughly the same.

One info that I think most would have already known, but its best that I tell it:

If you want to go to Narita Airport by trains, no matter to fetch someone arriving there or anything else:
--> Do remember to bring either your Japan's ID card OR at least your passport (with valid date of staying in Japan).

There will be a security checking at the train arrival area, and they will not let you enter the airport if you do not have either one of these items.
I'm not sure about entering through the main gate or from parking area, because I just find it convenient to go to Narita Airport by train biggrin.gif

yeah, but i think just like our i.c we shud be carrying our alien cards all the time.
