Even with 195/55/R15 tyres, it won't feel apparent?

The extra contact surface and rolling resistance is kinda offset by the lightweight rims right?
*
Kinda but that's the whole point of it, enabling you to use bigger and higher grip tires for better handling and yet not compromising much on performance as you compensate using lighter rims.

Thanks bro. Now I'm really tempted to change my rims already.  thumbup.gif

Final decision is just choosing between XM2 or PS3 only. Difference is only RM10 per donut. XM2 is really quiet and lasts super long while providing adequate grip for my type of driving. Tried PS3 in my friend's swift and found it to be really noisy, and probably wears out faster too since it's a performance tyre.  hmm.gif
*
If I were you, no brainer already I'll choose PS3 coz the price difference between the 2 is very minimal yet the PS3 is a much higher performance category and I don't feel it's noisy at all. To me XM2 is just not worth it unless it's like rm50 cheaper per tire.

... I mean, I wish to buy rim at SC and ask them to fix for me too. Do you mean you want to buy 1 new rim to replace it or just fix that bent one? If just fixing the bent one, better just go to a tire shop which should be cheaper. If want to buy, might as well change the whole set with better setIf yes, do I need to know what to worry? Because I am afraid that the nut placing isn't same? Like NCP 150 have diff length between to nuts compared to NCM 42? If jsut buy 1 rim to replace that bent one, of course buy the same rim and will have the same PCD. If buy another new set, then just choose those with the same PCD lor! But I am wondering is it ok to remove tyre from old rim and into the new rim? Will it affect the quality of the tyre? No issues

Interested in the current new vios GX rim... BTW, there is term, for the nuts placing...
Thanks.

** edit: the term is PCD

I have a question.

Replica thailand rim vs replica taiwan rim. Which one is better?
*
None coz both are fakes! How do you know they're fakes from those countries anyway and not from China or any other countries?

The tires too thin by 1 cm, should have used 205/50/16.

205/50/16 looks too thick to me so i didnt choose it. guess i will continue to live with the gap..
*
QUOTE(leehernandez @ Dec 16 2016, 04:10 PM)
haha..but honda city looks most nice when use 205/50/16.
*
For me personally if I have to choose I also prefer less fender gap with a bit thicker tires instead of thinner tires but more gap. In order to look nicer, the fender gaps should be no bigger than the thickness of the tires. Thin tires with bigger fender gaps IMHO looks more ugly but yeah people have different preferences I suppose.

Can get those top end rims for that kind of price? My survey few months ago landed at least 1k above the range you stated, where did you get the price estimates from?
*
Used price can get but not easy to find, depending on size also. If wider or rare sizes then more expensive.

Thx yr info.btw,u know the weight for ori Vios rim?
I heard the quality and weight for ori and replica rim is almost same?
I am confusing now
*
QUOTE(leehernandez @ Dec 27 2016, 05:20 PM)
don/t know about the weight but sport rim are usually lighter than ori vios rim.
*
Not all sports rim are created equal, most out there are crap shitty fake replicas! They are either as heavy as the std rims or lighter but not proven to be as strong. Just like typical std rims of normal cars, Vios std rims is also quite heavy for its small 15' size, if not mistaken about 8kg or more (I once compared a Vios TRD rims against my 17x8.5 forged rims where my rims are 6.5-7kg but the Vios rim despite its much smaller size was heavier!). Good lightweight 15' rims can be as light as 5kg or less. So if you want to change rims, change to original brands but not fakes. If want to save money or cannot afford original Japan rims then buy original Taiwan brands like Advanti or Enkei Tuning or Thailand's Lenso, those are good value for money and pretty light too.

Trade in original rim (proton iriz 14 inch)..to this rim which cost me Rm1k.

This afternoon asking shop around ampang for repair that rim, quoted for RM160 for 3 days work.
*
Must be some fake China rims, that's why badly cracked like that already. My suggestion, try to repair it as best as possible then just sell it off and cut your loses. Buy something much better.

What do you guys  suggest for new proton persona rim?
The one that came with the car quite small i guess.
Any idea?
*
QUOTE(leehernandez @ Mar 29 2017, 10:30 AM)
normally change to 15 just nice.if wan to look bigger 16 will do.
the new persona car chassis looks smaller than the old persona.
*
For new Persona, best not to go over 15' coz the car is small and low power. Try find Advanti rims, pretty lightweight and good value for money. Avoid fake ones coz might crack easier.

I see. Because im afraid of the stability also when speeding, cornering etc. hahaha
Thanks btw thumbup.gif
*
You can use 15x7 rims so can use wider tires like 205 or 195 to improve stability, no need to go 16'. What is the std tire size now?

guys, for Honda Jazz recommended to use 16/17'?
what color or combi nice for Carnival red version?

I read through forum and noted some negative points like braking, acceleration and FC affected.
Good points will be - looks, stability only.

Should i just stick to 15' and use performance tires?

Never changed stock rims before, so newbie kinda need advice =.="
*
Stick with 15' and use good performance tires. Jazz is already a slow car, don't make it suffer even more! smile.gif

What about upping an inch to 16" with 205/50/16 tires?
Since the stock V spec is already 16" ?
*
QUOTE(leehernandez @ May 14 2017, 10:47 AM)
u can find advanti rrf rims
16 inch only below 6kg per piece,.
*
Yes can, but pick the lightest rims you can afford, like Advanti as suggested above, or Enkei Tuning, or Lenso. So don't just look at the style but bring your weighing scale when shopping for rims! biggrin.gif And don't buy fake rims like those replica Rays/Advan/Enkei/etc2! For tire 205, best to use rim width 6.5-7jj.

wanna upgrade my f30 17" rim&tyres to 18"

but thought want to buy taiwan replica instead original because price diff lot

any issue using taiwan replica? and any good shop to recommend?

Why do you want to change your original German BMW rims for fake Taiwan rims?? Do you know that your ori BMW rims worth a lot more than those fake rims?

QUOTE(myteam94 @ Jul 30 2017, 12:07 AM)
anyone heard of West Lake Tyre?
is it good and reliable as other brand?
read their supply for land rover and volvo car
*
West Lake is one of those low budget China tires! If you look at these branding category below, it's even lower than Economy class tires, basically the lowest category similar to Linglong and Winrun! Are you still considering this because you still want to upgrade to 17' rims but with just your very low budget?
http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/

Please read this review, the top of the line West Lake finished LAST in the test and mentioned as "scored zero points in wet braking and were deemed too dangerous to use on the road."
