Dear Bonai,

Yes, that hedgie is a very nice one. healthy, tame n playful. im very happy to have her.  smile.gif

For the birth matter, its just a surprise. yeah, it freaked me out a bit. but when came to think bout it, maybe this chance wouldnt
come twice. (since i never intend to breed). so, i decided to raise the babies myself.
For this matter, im still a newbie. dats true. currently, im googling for info. going thru discussion forum in hedgehogcentral as well.
Any advice are welcome.  notworthy.gif

Btw, the mama n her babies are having their own privacy. approached the box only when to add food n water.  smile.gif
p/s: bonai, thanx for the support.  rclxms.gif

No offence but when you plan to keep all the babies, you have to plan to get new boxes for every hoglet, new bowls for each of them, new wheelss and etc...

Hedgies are solitary.. they don't live in family or colony...

Or worst, have to find buyers.. erm, i also have a hard time selling off my hedgies.. but i just keep holding on.. and great! came were few awesome owners like you buying my hedgies..

Keep the mom away from stress okay!

p/s- I never neglect any of my customers.. so if there's anything you need to ask for, just PM/sms me...

nice question

they are solitary and remain solitary
they do not act like human that need love and care towards opposite sex

are u thinking how they gonna mate if they are solitary right?
babies should be separate after couple of month from their mother when they do not need thier other milk anymore
if u put them longer with their mother , when the male mature ,they sart chasing the other

so they are solitary and if got any miscorerrect info ,do correct me
thx

Hi.

actually, im just gonna keep 1 baby to myself.
i wish i can take care for all of them. but, cannot r. no space and im afraid i'll be too busy for this semester.

have to find responsible owner for them r.
later maybe post some add in the garage sales. tongue.gif

okay, i'll keep doing dat. no peek2. nod.gif

@aleluya

yes, hedgehog is a solitary animal. in the wild, male n female will meet each other just for the mating process.

for the babies, they absolutely need their mother' milk. after the babies reached 6 weeks, they are old enuff to be separated.
have to separate male n female. coz if not, it would likely permitts inbreeding to happen.

hedgehog. damn cute. thumbup.gif

spend RM40 on a toyogo box then.

you can find it at jusco, carrefour, econsave, whatever supermarket out there. but just make sure it's deep enough that your hedgehog can't climb out from the box.

hedgehog that available in Malaysia is Algerian Color, there are lots of color varieties under Algerian.... @.@
Like mine, is Snowflake S&P but mine is heavy in snowflake so it fits under Algerian Grey as my baby's nose is chocolate... not dark or black. IF the nose is black and the quills color more to S&P then it fits under Algerian Black? err.. kinda forgot.. will search up again n give u the link we normally use to know which Algerian color our pokimon is smile.gif

sometime over half a year ago a regular forumer here, who's a hobbyist breeder, had posted something regarding importing pintos into malaysia. but apparently it's going to be a bit too long a process and kinda expensive to bring one in, so it didn't happen. looking at 4 digits' worth of hassle...wink.gif

that's all i recall, but if you have the time you can browse through V4 or even V3, i don't really remember when the discussion took place.

thanx for the info.

4 digits ar? well, mebi i ought to finish my studies first, get a good job and only then rethink bout pinto. tongue.gif

hey, can we produce pinto, locally? do we need some special colors of hedgie and then breed them together? could that produce pinto?

i'll try to google a bit. those who have info or wanna share opinion,
are absolutely welcome. thumbup.gif
