I think you are under-weight based on your BMI. If i`m not wrong, it should be at least 18.5. By the way, you just need to learn to adapt to the cardio exercise. I believe you dont even exercise right? Unless you are really really suffering from low blood pressure, or else doing 20+ of 'turun naik bangku' you shoudn't faint. Start slowly by slow jog or brisk walking..

No need to even discuss about fat or thin yet. You are weak and not fit. Most probably due to lack of exercise and not eating right.
You need to exercise more, and eat some protein food. Why not you post what what you eat throughout the day. -- Don't like to sweat? What kind of excuse is this?! Take a bath after you exercise lah. It's Malaysia -- it's a humid place, impossible not to sweat lah. |

QUOTE(yingjee @ Jul 1 2008, 09:01 PM) hm.. not sure if its even right to post it here.. so yeah.. im actually enquiring if i should lose weight and try to reduce the fats.. some say im thin while i've been called fat before.. I think you're fine. Your BMI is within the normal range for a girl though i'm not sure what the exact range is. Wrong subsection btw, this is the journal section, you should post this in the main H&F page.Height : 164 cm Weight : 47 kg BMI : 17.475 Waist : 26 inches Lower Hip : 32 inches (big bone.. Thigh : 19.5 inches (big problem here I've tried to do some cardio work out or whatever thingies.. but I cant 'tahan' most of them.. After 20+ 'turun naik bangku' in school, really felt like fainting (blame the low blood pressure) |

It's Malaysia -- it's a humid place, impossible not to sweat lah. erm, im not aneroxic or anything.. i do eat.. yesterday, for example.. Breakfast (7 am) : Chocolate muffin (nothing to eat at home ==) Recess (10.30 am) : Nasi lemak Lunch (1.30 pm) : Rice, "Steamed Pork-Egg Thingy", Vege, Salad Dinner : Rice, Egg, Vege, same "Steamed Pork-Egg Thingy" and somewhere in between, some chocolate chip cookies.. sometimes, i do skip recess and breakfast as im quite busy with club stuff.. but i'm not hungry.. thats still bad right? as for excercising.. i dont know how to cycle.. so cant.. besides, any outdoor activities here are 'banned'.. people get robbed and slashed with parangs around here == the only chance i get to exercise is during PJK (once a week?!) where we play basketball or.. some game that deosnt include much movement |

Not easy to gain muscles. In fact, it's very hard to gain just a bit of muscles. Don't know why your mum gets upset just because your sister or you wants to get fit & healthier. Takut 嫁不出 kah? Here's a video of how to squat properly: http://media.crossfit.com/cf-video/CrossFit_AirSquats.mov Here's a simple exercise programme that you can do at home with very little equipment. It'll improve your fitness. -If you can't do a full push up, do a push up on knees instead. -For pull ups, I don't think you can even do 1... the programme suggest a body row. Read throught it and find out how to do it. http://www.simplefit.org/bodyweight-exercises.html |
