The photos of my 2 kitties. The smaller one was found straying at a bz trafic light 2 weeks ago. At first, our 9-months-old Momoy ignored the kitten. But now, look at how close they become tongue.gif

congrats.

first, whenever you want to touch that kitten, please wash your have with clean water first. smile.gif

Kitten at this stage is very fragile, please extra careful. they can easily get sick.

kitten don't sleep in cold room. they like warm. so do not directly put the fan to them. room temperature is good too.

best time 2 spay the mother is age she finished milking her kitten, that was about 4 months later. while for the kitten, most people do it 4 months of age.

normally mother will lick her kitten to wake them up for milk. mother DO NOT hold or bite and put the kitten on her nipples. the kitten have to walk and crawl by them self for milk. if it is happen while you are near them, wash your hand, and put that kitten near her mother nipples.

anything else?

ehehehe, if your female cat ok with this, than should be problem. but if your cat even run away when hear this noise, than better don't. else she will find other place for the kitten. kitten at this age can't really see and hear that well....

but i would prefer to keep them in quite place, and warm. icon_rolleyes.gif

there's a few types of eye infections in cats. the famous one is conjunctivitis.

"The conjunctiva is a mucous membrane, similar to that of the mouth and nose, that surrounds the eyeball forming a seal with the inner surface of the eyelids. The third eyelid is also covered by conjunctiva. In normal cats the conjunctiva is not readily visible and has a pale, salmon pink color. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is an inflammation of this membrane which becomes swollen and reddened often making it more visible. Conjunctivitis can affect one (unilateral) or both (bilateral) eyes."

seriously you need to go to the vet again. before it spread to other cats, or spread to another side of the eyes. normally vet will give eyes ointment for them. like giving twice a day. i have this problem too last time, one eye become like very hard to open, pink, and watery.

another one you might want to check it "Herpes Viral Conjunctives". Click this link for information = http://www.marvistavet.com/html/body_herpe...unctivitis.html

this one might happened if there's not enough nutrition inside the body. since you mention the kitten age is 1 month old, i sure believe she is lake of mothers milk. 1 month old is very young. they can't even walk correctly at this age. where is the mother anyway?

hopefully its not eye ulcer, that is so painful i believe!

TIPS.

If the kitten you adopted is with his/her mother, don't separate them that early. 2 weeks still very very small.. unless they are orphan with no mother.

If you adopt kitten from someone, i don't think they will even separate the kitten with the mother yet.

If it is happen you have this small kitten, you need extra care. 2 weeks can even walk yet.

What kind of poo is that?

If it is watery poo (cirit birit), control the intake of milk and the freshness of the milk. Don't over feed milk to kitten, let them drink whenever they one. Some 1 month old kitten knows how to lick, else use bottle to feed. Might be hard, but its worth it to save life. Freshness of milk, throw away if she stop drinking, and make a new one if she want it. Warm milk better, not to cold, not to hot. They have very fragile and sensitive stomach at this time.

Very less kitten will poo if they don't eat. They normally will only pee with milk, unless, again, if they got stomach ache with over feed milk or spoil milk. But if it is hard poo, then its alright..

If you want to teach them eating early at this point, you can soak that milk with the kibbles, making the kibble become soft..

errkkk kitten or cat?

female kitten can get pregnant the earliest is 4/6 months. so need to be careful if any adult male cat rogol her blink.gif

Deworming not that expensive, 1 shot or 1 table normally cost Rm6-8. If you get cheaper even good. I never found vet charge more than rm10. so no need to worry.

sign of bad worm infection are like, vomiting, watery poo (cirit birit), and if hard poo you can even see the worm around the poo when it just come out from your cat (fresh poo).

thanks for the reply. she's an adult cat. she's definitely not pregnant because she already gone through one and plus her belly looks a bit unnatural.

i guess i'll take her for the shot then. don't think she'll like it though. sweat.gif

thanks again! smile.gif

Good luck icon_rolleyes.gif

i touch all the kitten when they are small, and the mother still with them...

some people even said, don't watch the cat give birth, else she will eat the kitten tongue.gif

a mother that do not want her kitten to be touch or near human will "hissing" at you. but if they don't, its ok, just remember to wash your hand. and do not touch if there's nothing wrong nod.gif

you can use human nail clipper... but do it side way.. normally for our finger, when you clipping it, your thumb nail will be on top right...

but for cat your thumb nail will be on the side when clipping. since the human nail and cat nail different.

How old is your kitten anyway, kitten below 2 months better don't give frontline.

You do not need to use e-collar.. if your house has so many fleas, frontline spray on will help to kill.. but if your house do not have fleas, you just put frontline for protection of the environment - better use spot on. Since you cat is indoor, how come got fleas?

Remove furs on fabric.. hmm can use the sticky roller that sell in petshop, also can use brush... else use cellophane tape that you normally use to tape on papers, books, boxes. smile.gif

Furs tanggal banyak can be cause by alot of things... first fleas! since u have fleas.. thats mean fleas make the fur loss... , you also need to check on ringworms, mites, ticks...

Check what you feed your kitten, do they get enough nutrition? kitten need that...

There's jab/medicine for this too.. there's even supplement for furs too...

if it is adult cat, you might want to spay/neuter them, cos fur falling may cause due to stress and hormone changes... icon_rolleyes.gif
