last monday i went to few petshop beli barang2 kucing, they didn't mention about that. hopefully they don't increase the price lah.

Early this year was 125.00 for the 7kg and 54.00 for the 2.5kg

I bought yesterday, the 2.5kg is RM59.00, so correct lar, the 7kg, RM139.00

guys got problem with my new kittens.
ada 3 ekor , all infected with lice. pening kepale.

i've tried spraying anti-lice spray on the kittens. tapi degil gak lice tu semua,tak mati2

any idea? should i shave my kitten?

errkk first of all, how do u know it is lice? lice very hard to see with eyes, but u can see their eggs attach on hujung bulu like dandruff. lice are white white thing and alil bit transparent.

but if u said FLEAS!, then i understand how bad it is. Lice is not that bad.

Fleas is the worst, then ticks, then mites, then ringworm.

be extra carefull if u spray on kitten, make sure you read the back pack before you spray.
"amount to spray = body size".

what brand do u use? FRONTLINE is a good brand.

Why that thing tak mati?
- first, because when u spray, u are actually kill the adult sahaja, but not the eggs.. bila eggs menetap, they will still hidup.
- second, your house kena serang. i mean, they are not fully on cat body now. they are hiding somewhere like carpet, sofa... carpet is their number 1 best friend to lays egg

Solution?
- to kill eggs? try FRONTLINE SPOT ON. Spot on will be suck into the layer of their skin. bila telur menetas, anak akan terus gigit kulit for blood.. they will get that poison and die. beside SPOT ON type your cat will look nice because u tak spray.
- vacuum all your carpet and sofa everyday.
- sikat your cat supaya telur2 tu jatuh.
- mop lantai dengan bersih.

good luck eh if you doing it, do on all cats. if you have 3 kittens, do on all 3 on the same time.

else no point doing on one cat then next day another cat. must be all serentak.

I think some people refer to "kutu" as lice and flea the same thing...

Going to threat Abu with Frontline today cuz I see him scratching often...

My Frontline is gonna finish soon, so I went surveying the price of it and also Spot On, then I saw a whole range of flea treatment by Hartz(purple colored bottles and packaging) Pricing is not bad, about 20-30% cheaper than Frontline, but I dunno if it works as good...

Have you ever came across it? Tried it? Or heard about the result?

Lice and Fleas actually 2 different insect. but, they way of killing it is the same. but they are totally 2 different family.

it is very important to know all this, because each of them may look the same, but a lot of differences.
- they have their own place to live, like ear mites around ears. like head lice will be on head and around neck.
- they even has different cousin like lice, there are different types of lice, like mites they are different type of mites. but only 1 type of fleas.
- each of them do their job, like flea sucking blood. like ear mites eating ear skin tissue.
- each of cousin also have their own job, for example lice.. Anoplura Lice suck blood, but Mallophaga Lice only chew skins tissue.
- and some of them bring disease and effects too.

so you can see they have their own characteristics. Of course with our eyes they look the same. but under the microscope they look very different.

the only same thing is the way killing them. most fleas product can be use on ticks, mites, and lice as well.

i don't like to see mites under microscope, they look like monster!!!

i tried that brand before... Hartz.. and some other brand too...

but then, i still prefer frontline. frontline solve my problem before, so i don't think i want to change to other brand. nanti frontline kecil hati ahahahaha

haha...new in here to give some opinion..
i got three cats in house but just one of them will always climb windows too...
and one of them is like to piss everywhere because he not yet spayed...and want to challenge the two cat who already spayed..
but cats are wild animal...i mean they like to go ouside. I think that's why they always like to climb windows, curiousity...

Need advices…

Got this 3 stray kittens with their mom..they’re about 5 weeks now…and I’m planning to bring them for their 1st vaccination mebe next week..but if their vaccinated, then they wont be able to nurse from their mother anymore..since she is a stray cat, a bit hard if to get her vaccinated too rite? Kinda sorry for them if stop nursing since they’re still very small..

Do u guys think that I should just go ahead and vaccinate them or wait for awhile?

Do u know any place around selangor that charges for the vaccination is cheap ( around rm20-30 per cat) ? (apart from the government clinic lah  )

errkk you cannot throw away the reality of cats eheheh that is their nature. climb climb and climb. even it is not a window, they will find other place to climb. unless your have empty house with walls only then cannot climb ehehe

cats = try to imagine, cheetah, lion, tiger, lynx, etc.. this are all the family trees... accept the one we kept is domestic cat lah, they don't eat human eheheh

Mizeily, first of all, why do you want to vaccine them at the age of 5 weeks (1 month 1 week) ?

A normal kitten will be vaccine when they are 8 weeks (2 months old). They must be in good health, and good body weight.

A kitten that is born without mother (orphan) since born which means they never tasted mother milk will be vaccine at age of 6 weeks. This is call "Temporary vaccination for kittens". But this vaccine, most people will not do it. because nobody knows about it. even the vet didnt mention the full structure of how vaccine should be done. in other ways, its rarely happened.

One of Vaccination failure is: The Cat is Too Young or is Unhealthy - It is essential that the cat have a functional immune system in order to respond to the vaccine challenge. If the immune system is very immature, such as a very young animal, or if the patient has a disease which is suppressing the immune system, the vaccine will have little or no effect in stimulating immunity. If the patient has a fever, the immune system will be so "occupied" with the fever that it will respond poorly to the vaccine.

eh..no lah..not at 5 weeks...i was planning to do it at 6 weeks

cuz my mom said they got germs...nnti jangkit the other kittens ( got 2 other 5months old kittens that has already completed the 3rd vaccination )

ow..so can wait for a couple more weeks lah?

if i were you, i will still wait till 8 weeks come. while waiting, always remember to deworm them, because deworm start at the age of 6 weeks , 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and follow by every 3/6 months a year.

then you can vaccine the kittens together with their mom. since mommy is also there, why not vaccine her too later own.

other cats that already completed full vaccine for the first year will have less effect on non vaccine cat. unless that vaccine have not complete everything then its very easy to "berjangkit".

always make sure they are clean and their place is clean too
