Your cat has ear mites. They will continue to eat at you cats ears and her hair will fall out & the ears will become raw if left untreated. You need to take her to the vet to get a antibotic and a special ointment that will kill the mites and heal the ear. After you use the medicine & get rid of the little pests her hair will grow back slowly over time, take her to Vet as soon as you can, this is really series problem, please take her as soon
make sure you keep her away from other pets
make sure you wash your hand after touch the infected places

What is ear mites?
It is common in cats, especially young cats and kittens. It can become source of irritation if your cat is infected with ear mites, and if they are left untreated. Ear mites is very tiny, you cannot see with your eyes. if it happens you go to the vet, ask them to check the ears, and see it under the micro telescope. You can see ear mites that look like a crab. Serious ear mites problem will lead to ear problem such as deafness to seizures. Ear mites can be passed easily to other cats in the household, especially kittens. and also YOU!

What is the sign of ear mites?
Scratching his/her ears and shaking the head all the time. Then check your cats ears, if you see black/dark brown wax.. that's ear mites sweet home

How to clean cat ears?
If you are first timer, you better ask demo from the vet, or ask friends who know how. Make sure you know the correct way, else you may be too rough to the cat ears, or cats will scratch you, because cat's ear part is very sensitive.
Tools you need (this is the one i used, there are so many product outside, up to you to use what you want) :
- i used ilium oticlean (Skin and ear cleansing solution) to remove the black wax. this thing can also heal wound which occur when your cat has long nails that scratch the ears. it cost about RM20+ above.
- then i use ilium ear drops to kill the mites. after you clean it, just make few drops of this thing into your cat ears, close the ears and rub abit.
- you may need cotton of tissue to do this. some people also use the human ear cotton.
Again, if you do not know how, ask demo from vets or friends. You need at least 2 person to do this, one to hold the cat, and another one cleaning the ears.

How frequent to clean cat ears?
Well, if you so busy, one time a week is consider good.

@El - Serai wangi?Hurmmm if I use Clorox cannot ah?or other detergent/soap?Last nite I caged my 3 cats in a same cage...it's a big cage anyway...but they didn't poo or pee at all...weird...

Well.. anything you use, serai wangi, clorox, detergent, dettol.. u MUST but was back using plaint water. Else your cats will lick that thing. i do not like to use clorox or dettol, i ever use once, then suddenly my cat become like so anxious with that smell and run away. because clorox and dettol is very strong, even my nose feel itchy with it.

why i use serai wangi... :
- it smell serai, it won't hurt my nose.
- it's Anti-Insect like lipas, semut, anai-anai, dan lain lain termasuk lah tikus
- it can be use on plants
- eliminate bad odor such as the cat poo and pee
- etc etc etc.

p/s i spray it on my bed untuk buang Hama

- is the litter box inside that cage? = if no litter box, sure they tahan the poo and pee
- do they sleep together, nearby each other, or hugging each other? if no, then they don't feel comfortable sharing.

erm..she didnt do anything..mayb that cat not suit with me..thats why she is kinda wild...

before this i used to cage my cat and he didnt poo or pee at all...i placed a litter box as well..mayb he is not comfortable..

Yea its true! I had met a very self-conscious cat once. His owner actually puts his litter box in the toilet and whenever the cat wants to do his business, someone has to switch on the light and close the door for him! and lets say anyone accidentally went into the toilet when the cat is 'poo poo-ing' he will immediately meow/hissed at the person to warn them. weird, tapi comel gila!

can cage together, but put litter box, and make sure that cage is suitable for the numbers of cat u have. if too crowded also not good.

Anyway, just to update, Oren is back solo, as I have returned Mia...

He's doing alright, back to becoming very attached to us... Mana-mana pun nak ada orang dekat dia...

Not getting another one so soon... See how it goes, but will definitely not make the same mistake again (I hope...)

guys, i'm planning to take back a cat which appeared in my class today.

any steps to me to adopt it?

like taking it to vet immedialy or whatever?

Yea as soon as you take that cat, bring him/her to the vet for checking. Ask the vet to check the body temperature, fur checking to make sure there's no fleas or ticks, ear checking to make sure its clean from ear mites. Also do deworming. This is the normal check up. Do not cost that much. I prefer not to vaccine him/her first.

Take the cat back home. introduce him/her to your house. Make sure your house is a good place for cats. Not too many of expensive things. offer him good food and fresh water. Get them a litter box and sand for him/her to poo and pee.

From here, diagnose his/her condition again. Since you get the cat from outside and bring the cat to the vet in first place won't give you a 100% healthy cat. And just now, i recon to skip vaccine right. Vaccine can only be given to a healthy cat. Normal temperature does not mean healthy. Giving vaccine to unhealthy cat will result SHUT DOWN!.

So now u bring him/her home... diagnose his condition for like few days to a week. See if the cat is acting normal - eating very well, drink enough water, playing and very active. Now check the stool (poo poo)... make sure its hard stool. If you found melting stool bring back to vet. Vet will give anti biotic for this, again NO VACCINE will be given, until your cat stool is hard and healthy.

If you see all the result is good when u bring home... the next coming week, you can vaccine your cat

Last year i have been adoption one cute female kitten. Now she is 1 year 3 weeks....Last June she have give birth for 5 kitten.

After the cat give birth any food can balanced her diet. She seems getting so fat. That y I call her 'fat fat'. She been eating Friskies Tuna and Seafood. Per day she managed to eat 1 can.

Is they any solution can makes my cat more healthy? What else food she can takes? I couldn't afford to buy friskies can food.

First of all, you feeding JUNK food to your cat, thats why lah she become like that eheheh. Friekies is like our junk food = keropok, chocolate, etc.

You should give her premium food (at least), this kind of food, they will become full easily. Not like friskies which makes them eat non stop.

Since you cat is too fat. You need to get food or overweight cat. Ask help from the vet, since overweight is special case, not many petshop selling cat food for over weight cat. some vet selling Prescription Diet product. Like Science Plan or IAMS.

You need to find Weight Control cat food.
