maybe u shoud try to restart ur freegate..so far it's working great for me..

same here. Turned off freegate and put the proxy back to default & its steady speed. with proxy, its fluctuating

just got new acc yesterday...and i only use bout 800mb for yesterday...maybe the server time still not counted as a day yet..

two weeks ago my download speeds were rocketing off around 140-160k/s.

tonight it's crawling at around 20-30k/s (50-60 with freegate), which really sucks

on another note, i've got myself a new PC with Vista and Kaspersky Internet Security. i'm comparing the speeds with my laptop (previous download machine) right now, but they produce roughly the same download speeds anyway.

for those out here, anyone out there using Vista + KIV can share some sort of settings they use to optimize their downloads with the security?

even with freegate, i am only getting 13-15 KB/s at this time of the day

AFAIK, TMNUT doesn't cap RS on Sunday.. this is based on my speed for the last 3 sundays Regarding freegate, it's a good tool but of course RS premium account without the capping is better. Now, since TMNUT cap the speed, we have no choice but to use freegate. The speed using freegate is fluctuate if u only downloading 1 file at a moment, but if u downloading 3 files and above concurrently, the speed is about the same like before, around 160-200 kbps. However, as for me, the speed using freegate only lasted for about 2 - 3 hours, after that it becomes very slow or even stop. When it happened, i just need to pause/stop all the downloading activities, and re-start and the speed is good again.

try and check it after 6am local time...sure accumulate one because mine does after that time

i think RS capping is totally area dependent coz i did not experience any speed problems in melaka but in kl i need to use freegate to accelerate the speed

well, I still have the problem, today with the 8am to 2pm throttling problem, right now I'm downloading from Rapidshare (premium) at 80kb/s which usually goes up to 200kb/s...

No problems here today in penang though..using the 219.xx.xx ip address and it goes full speed without freegate right now

Didn't affect me too. However, am anticipating for the speed to drop early nights before returning to normal after midnight, sigh..
