Can...very good speed today...can reach 70kb/s...avg about 50 to 60kb/s...I download free account...ha-ha....any limitation to how many GB can download per day for Free users?

I've already downloaded about 600MB+ this morning.

i think there is limit for free user but with that speed it ages to get even 1gb download perday.

u need to choose the correct server to get faster dl speed. from my experiece Global Crossing have high dl speed

i use global crossing 2 no problem at max speed of my 512kb line

well my browsing speed isnt slowing down.
its just the download speed that is affected.

For premium users, the server we choose still affects the speed right ?
I am currently dl using TeliaSonera and the speed seems fine.
However, Global Crossing is the fastest ?

The server you choose does affect your speed. However, for the internet connection here, I doubt it matters.

I think above 500KBps it will matter cause when I dl from cybercafe, some servers max out at 300-400KBps.

I always set my server to random server, and no problem thus far.
More or less the same download speed, morning or night.

Rapidshare is capable to choose the fastest server to give its users
a consistent speed.

i download using my uni's line when i go for classes
can reach total 1.1MegaBytes for 10 simultaneous downloads

if download slow u may try to change the ip range. sometimes it helps. i using 124.13 which works pretty well. have bad experience whic 60.53 lately.

btw, when I reach the limit, IDM automatically downloads the links at HTML links. anyway to avoid that?

yeah its really bad.
my 1mb line can only get around 9kbps each for 4 download at a time.

You can instruct IDM to download no more than 4GB perday

no problem with my line at home
in fact, i even had the luck of downloading at 2.5-3MBytes/s using my uni line. downloaded like 10GBytes of stuffs within 1 hour....

ur uni don cap ur line 1 ?
