RS is becoming very unstable.
One minute its at 90-100kB/s then another minute its 30-40kB/s. I've restarted the modem over and over but it doesn't seem to fix it anymore. At the moment my IP... 60.51.* This post has been edited by kazek: Oct 29 2008, 02:24 PM |

I always get full speed using flashget. If can't reach maximum speed then I just reset the IP.

QUOTE(cartman87 @ Oct 29 2008, 01:26 PM) my fren pinjam me his premium RS account for few days. Tried to dl but the DL speed soooooo slow. nw i dun wanna buy RS premium account d. zzz... it's definitely problem from your side. Rapidshare have very fast trunk link and they never cap premium user's speed. If you have a broadband connection that is working properly like jaring broadband, you will get max speed your broadband can provide. So, blame it on your own line or router or modem or PC and so on.On second note, I have this in my account.... You are going to continue to be credited with 10 GB download traffic per day, until 03.09.2009. It is 308 days remaining. Hehehe...I bought 1 year account... I am guessing they are trying to do something to reduce those who buy illegal accounts. Those who stopped buying RS, you go buy MU but is it also illegal accounts generated by points like RS? If yes, then it's a matter of time MU start doing something similar as well. I mean, if I am RS, I will say.."go ahead and change to our competitor, we don't need you anyway cause we don't make money from you and you are using our bandwidth"....if you know what i mean. |

hmm....RS just emailed me regarding the problem.. It seems like using download manager to download the file causing the problem, here's part of the replied frm them : "Please be aware that some download managers can cause more traffic than theactual file size. The reason is that our system and the download managers do not match. Downloading with a web browser will not cause any unnecessary traffic."

Btw, who's going to download 100mb files with web browser nowday huh? |

If illegal selling of RS accounts converted from accumulated points is making them lose money, they could just easily solve the problem by prohibiting premium account users from converting their points to new account. QUOTE(bartbarb @ Oct 29 2008, 07:31 PM) err....nop... instead they give u much crap, like promoting their trafficshare...etc something like tat So they really didn't know what's causing those extra traffics, or... is it their hidden agenda to force ppl to use trafficshare by secretly deduct bandwidth from premium user account? ZOMG! |
