I think its causes by the driver.Because the driver cannot stabilize the Idle for the systems. If there is Power Play is enabled(which need driver to stabilize it),the power could be low as 55W.

Isnt the Idle is much lower?= = I thought its 150/500 if PowerPlay Features is enabled.
The PowerPlay Feature is there, but the driver does not fully use it. This post has been edited by AMDAthlon: Jul 3 2008, 10:07 AM |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Jul 3 2008, 10:12 AM) why don u try mass effect..ive been getting sub 30 fps on max details @ 1680x1050 with 8x aniso 4x aa with my card running @ 675/2000 i think 4850 should be getting higher than this as the 3870 fps is even higher than mine if im not mistaken This post has been edited by ben_panced: Jul 3 2008, 10:33 AM |

I just installed 4870 x 2 yesterday..
This morning i woke up, I realised that the display didn't want to startup. I am wondering what is the problem. My theory is that the GPU is too hot that it went pass the threshold. Because the fan is blowing like mad to cool down the card. In addition to that, after i switched on the aircond (thanx TNB), and the room cools down to about 20++ degrees, the machine startup fine. Any thoughts ppl? |

What card u using? 4850 or 4870? how is the Mars board? i miss that board....Added on July 3, 2008, 10:55 am QUOTE(mohamadfazli @ Jul 3 2008, 10:31 AM) I just installed 4870 x 2 yesterday.. Silverstone ST506F will be enough to power up a single 4870? basically all coolers that can fit 3870 can fit 4850, but artic accelero s1 is the recommended hsf due to its performance and price, and yes ur psu can handle a single 4870 but not 4870 cfThis post has been edited by ben_panced: Jul 3 2008, 11:10 AM |
