in CCC i'm able to clock to
Core = 790 MEM = 1100
but in GPU-z. the mem clock shows 2200mhz only.??

so, should it stated as 790 / 4400 instead??

i need a new CPU badly..

just got my hd4850 yesterday. upgraded from 7300gs. the difference is night and day. now can play cod4 on my lcd native reso 1920x1200, yay!

only thing is the heat. my idle heat is 70C. should I be worried? will try to change to a higher fan setting as suggested in the previous pages when i get home from work today.

i just got my hd4850, and personally i hope nvidia and amd keep one upping each other. if this didn't happen, i doubt i would be able to buy such a powerful vga card at such low price (rm650).

so i hope nvidia's next card will kick a$$ and ati's answer to kick even more a$$.

bek to the last few generations, ATi never really got its stock ready when the products were launched...

Unfortunately, such a hard loss for Nvidia is not the same as ATI since ATI is with AMD they can take hard losses n laugh. Nvidia does not have the capital to take a driect crashing blow.

So if the 4000 series does do this u can kiss Nvidia goodbye unless they have more IPs to get investors to life support them.

it would be back to the fx5800 dustbuster scenario i think, but nvidia is diversifying so there still may be life in them yet. as long as they eat some humble pie that is.

odds are that extra 512mb won't make a difference unless you are playing at extremely high reso with aa and aniso.

gddr5 has higher bandwidth than gddr3.

as for no memory different is only for screen resolution, if you running under 22", 512 is good enough.. unless you are going for 1920 res...
