4870 is about 40% more expensive than 4850 at the performance increment of around 15%. if you have the money, then go for 4870, else get a 4850. the decision is yours.

IMO, 4850 is sufficient for all of the gaming session for me at least. I'm on 1440*900 anyway  I would rather to save some bucks and use it for upgrade next time, spending so much on a GC is not really worth to me anymore as when you sell it next time, the value will drop drastically just like my previous 8800gts >.<

Usually as now all using reference cooler.The difference is the packing,package includes..etc When non reference cooler alot can be diff.The Cooler,OC/Non OC version,Package include,games..etc
