Ok tested the Subdude and it does make the bass sounded tighter and reduce the excess "boominess" but just don't expect a miracle. 1st try I was disappointed coz nothing change but after a few hours when I listen again its totally different now. I think the sub weight kind of settled-in the foam and give out that tighter bass I was hoping for (tested with Transformer and U-571).

Later I pop in Metallica and hell yeah the bass is good. I don't use sub when listening to music as I hate the bass signature of Velo when it comes to music...too wild and loose. Time to dug out my metal collection whistling.gif

I like the way it sits under my Velo...the size ngam ngam tongue.gif

arremie, how much for the mat?

On a side note, avr 1909 vs onkyo 705. Both can be had for around the price. 705 being the slightly more expensive.

Which one??

after i noticed Auralex launched Subwoofer Isolation Platform and you guys bought the product ... I did the research and realized there was a latest SubDude from Auralex ... i called Nelson about SubDude HD ... he said all taken out ... i told him i just need one piece

after work i went to his shop and did the comparison between SubDude and SubDude HD,
(1) the surface of material is different - SubDude is using ozite (rough surface), grey colour. SubDude HD is using velour (soft surface), black colour
(2) the height is different - SubDude is 3-inches. SubDude HD is 2.5-inches
(3) when physically put on the floor, the ground landing of SubDude HD is solid than SubDude (may be just my feeling, could be the height is lower) ... anyway Sky the staff there also feel the same with me
(4) SubDude HD is just slightly expensive than SubDude

later i shared my experience with Sky. i told him i position my Subwoofer (100W) on the tile floor and when i turn my amplifier (130W) to 40% volume, the plaster ceiling and wall partition are vibrating, and the boom (bass) sound very noisy (loss). he told me with SubDude HD, the performance definitely improve but not 100%. the vibration on plaster ceiling and wall partition still be there but lesser. fair enough, at least he honest to me. so i bought SubDude HD.

Attached Image Attached Image

clean my Subwoofer. place it on SubDude HD. do testing. (1) test war movie on blu-ray (2) test war game on PS3. increasing my amplifier volume from 40% to 80% at 10% increment. the plaster ceiling and wall partition were not vibrating (at least i didn't feel it now). the bass sound was solid, no more noisy (loss) sound. i did not test over 80% cause it was very loud in the room. am very happy with the result. now i can enjoy movie and game than before.

hope my review help a bit on your decision to get Subwoofer Isolation Platform in near future.

who me?! those who bought SubDude should know the price. then +RM100 is SubDude HD. since Nelson is sole distributor. everyone should be getting the same price from him. give Nelson a call if anyone interested about this product. am rest my case.

Thanks and regards.

I though Subdude HD diff with subdude just becos they use "greener" i.e. more environmental material to make the HD?

btw, HD stand for Home Design and not high Definition tongue.gif
