QUOTE(refnulf @ Aug 12 2008, 09:22 PM)
Well, I'm waiting for the 09s from Dell to hit the market so the price for the 08s will drop.
24" is a nice size but I feel I need something bigger. I've tried the V2400W and I didn't like it.

The 2407WFP-HC has so far been a good experience and I have absolutely disliked the 2408WFP.

Input lag is just embarassing. The revision has done nothing to change it.

I was wondering guys, any local stores sell Eizo monitors? I'm guessing a 24" from Eizo will cost close to RM4500 or so?
I was planning to get 2 x 30" monitors but I'll have to upgrade my computer as well at the same time.

Let's hope the prices go down a little.

These monitors are not meant for gaming, but more for graphic design. I think these are the limitations of the LCD technology, which is why I consider OLED to be the true successor to CRT monitors.

Speaking of which, does the T220 support 1:1 scaling? Some says yes, some say no, but overall the review on it seems rather poor

*Note the screen comes with the cloth pictured above thumbup.gif

Screen Size:
- I feel this monitor is HUGE! i used to own a 2407WFP Ultrasharp and it was getting a bit small wink.gif Now with just 1.5" more i feel this is really great. Will probably last longer now without the feel i need to upgrade to a bigger screen (+ or - 1yr laugh.gif)

Colour Reproduction:
- The static 1000:1 ratio and dynamic 20,000:1 contract is ok. Dynamic is kind shit to me, cause when i was seeing movies, the colours automatically adjust on the fly. I was like WTF! the dark just become darker and bright scenes become brighter. really disappointing, so called dynamic ratio. tongue.gif. But with it turned off, i think this screen is still quite good. Colours look sharp and crisp.

- Unfortunately if compared to a Dell Ultrasharp, i believe this TN panel T260 cant beat it. Dell ultrasharp is still brilliant. I feel its the quality of the glass itself that makes it look more 'crystal' like. but anyway, i guess u all know the difference between TN and the Ultrasharp.

Overall summary:
- Get a Dell ultrasharp if you can afford it. You wont regret, i slightly regret now as the on screen colours doesnt beat Dell. However, i think for the size and overall this monitor is really worth my money (bought for $510, ~RM1500 for a 25.5" panel thumbup.gif. The hdmi and features is great. The overall glossy feel is nice too.
I think my monitor wasnt as bad as this guy. at least no bugs incased:

I forgot how abysmal the viewing angle can be on a TN panel until I saw the 2nd picture. For that price, I guess one can't complain much.

haihhhh..... why the hell are people would want to view their computer from that extreme angle when everything is nicer facing straight on ???

for me, the viewing angle should never be an issue in the first place unless you have 100 people watching a movie on one PC and in small room ,,

well if u have more then 2 monitors, especially big 1 the viewing angle is kind of important for most as the 2nd or 3rd monitor usually are at the very edge of view angle limitation...

25.5"looks good to me.......... 1.5k is still consider quite afforadable compare to the viewsonic 28" TN.

Eizo monitor? dun expect it to be too perfect, input lag still present on this unit too, but the colour reproduction is something to be admire at though.
