I didn't say it was acceptable. I think something serious must be done with the team's defending. Shambolic would be an understatement. We shouldn't be worried about trophies just yet. Take it 1 game at a time.

No offense here but is that something you want to be proud of?
IMO, Madrid is scoring lots of goals but at the same time leaking lots of them as well.
I thought Schuster going to bring more stability to the defending areas.

Well it's not something to be upset about as well. We haven't won the Copa del Rey in 15 years. That says it all really. Compare it with our league triumphs and you will see the bigger picture. We prefer winning leagues.

yup... indeed our focus is to win league and CL.. but with our current form.. i dont see we can win either of these trophy.. maybe too early to judge.. but the truth is there edy.. something MUST be done, overcome defender problem.. then, i can see we can win both..

Hoping there are going to bring in some defender for coming january!!
I will sure Casillas more happy on tht and this is the only area RM hav to strengthen a lot!!

In the league, although real are leaking goals but u guys still manage to keep pace..so still very much contenders..

we play much much better.. our midfield and attacking always creating style attacking, we play style play attacking as board ask when capello always play defensive style play..

real union just create a good attack & have good finishing while we dont have our cover on the back. we lack creativity on defend back.

canna really need to be replace, no pepe really affect our defend.. we need solid CB .. heinze and canna are both failed.. metzelder is too slow..

btw im still like the style we attack under schuster. this is not a coach problem.. but some situation problem.

we better put up our hope on league and champion's league.
and barca.. u can have copa del ray again..

actually, IMO.. u cant compare RM with Getafe.. although schuster is the manager for both.. getafe.. naturally playing with defensive mentality.. but opposite with ours... attack is a must.. entertaining football is essential.. u can see capello.. he won la-liga but still sacked by the top management... why? becoz.. too defensive minded and not entertain enough.. but, i oso agree with u.. when we talk about defensive.. capello is The Don... seriously, i miss clean sheet...

i saw news at sportcenter...schuster is given ultimatum by real madrid board n maybe will go if he continue the poor form....wtf??? its still too early to sack him...

We've already mentioned leaking goals is the problem. It's not rocket science.

Schuster is trying to keep all the talk away from the squad. He's biting the bullet so to speak. What more can u ask of your manager?

The same Capello that got outplayed countless times by smaller opposition? Who got trashed completely by Lyon 3-0 in the CL?

Ppl forget that we had the best defence last season. We conceded the least. We shut out Barca at the Camp Nou. And we still managed to score alot of goals.

He's not going to get sacked. 2 points off the leaders and still in contention in the CL. Abit premature I would think.

I'm just as perplexed as Schuster. It's not like we did radical changes to our personnel from last season. They are the same defenders yet their form has been abysmal.

Its not that he doesn't know the problem is in defence...
Even if he hasn't been attending the matches, just by knowing real's recent results already easily tells half the story..
The one he doesn't understand, and neither do we, is how a string of world class defenders, proved so stable last season, is leaking like the ladies' days of the month...Just won't stop..lol
IMHO, in this case, Casillas usually is a reliable tampon, but now even he cant be as reliable as before, because the defenders are playing too badly, opponent players gets nice shots and headers..Casilla cant do much about..

It's normal to bash a team if they are having some tough time. What is not normal is when people call Schuster to step down. Well I don't wanna remind you about how we have the best defensive record last season though this season the same defensive line looked very fragile. But things doesn't change in one night. Perhaps it's because Casillas and several other defenders were too confident about their defensive approach against the minnows especially Ramos.

Did you guys notice that our opponents tend to attack more on our right flank. Lately declined performance of Ramos was an advantage to even a team like Numancia and Bilbao, let alone The Old Lady. But it's not solely his mistake. He claimed that nobody's there to be his backup and you can see the truth where in last several matches when Ramos starts to run with the ball down at the right flank, there's nobody there for him to pass which made him have less options with the ball, either dribble past the opponent or deliver a cross. A good thing is he's improving but we face a lot of threat due to lack of defenders most of the time due to Ramos attacking role in the team.

Canna and Pepe seem to have problem communicate to each other lately. Pepe was running all over the place covering here and there. It's good for a player in secondary school league but not in the league where the Pros are playing and will simply punish your tiniest mistake with a goal. Subsequently, Pepe must stay calm at times and learn to read the game more efficiently. Just look at other world class CBs and you'll perceive the difference. Canna should be the best role model for CBs in our team but, instead of doing that he himself made several silly moves that cost our team goals. Both of them must communicate better to become if not the best maybe a superior pair from what we're having now.

MFs involved only in a small part of defending where they should defend as a team. You can see last season where even Raul came down to help the defence and it worked. Yeah I know maybe some people can argue with me that there are several MFs trying to defend but guys, there's a big difference between defending and chasing shadows. Obviously, our MFs were chasing shadows............. and Casillas... I never thought I'll comment something about him this soon. He needs to do his magic sooner rather than later. Wonder where's the real Saint we use to see every week last season.

There's a lot of other things contribute to our defensive horror but due to lack of time, it's hard for me to share. Maybe some other time. I'm having my exam tomorrow, just trying to post as much as I can.
