i was told by my family members that one of my package arrived
i rushed back from work thinking after a long wait since June 11, 2008, I will finally get my copy today June 23, 2008

BUT NO...! It was just the OST i got from play-asia...

I checked my tracking and realized that it hasn't update since 8.20AM and as of that time it is in Bayan Lepas.
Oh please... Bayan Lepas and Ipoh is soo close... why can't they be like UPS and send it immediately...
I am dying already wanting to play this game T_T

I have yet to try the OST @ LE cause it has yet to come to me.

Tomorrow will be another day of waiting.

My friend who got it for me has posted to me everything.
This also includes the DVD saga 2 (LOL, yes the one US get for MGO) and artbook for those who pre-order early.

I am quite sure for the frogs battle if you tranq them and they fall to the ground, it is not a kill. I did that quite a few times and I still got the statue. If it kills them, I shouldn't be getting the statue right?

Same here, I remember they fell after I tranq them, but I still get the Frogs Figurine at the garage. As long as you did not fire a single "red coloured" weapon, you're safe.

*Blue means non-lethal rounds, stun/sleep rounds

you're using non-lethal takedown and you still can get the FROGS statue at the garage. The requirement to get the status is using non-lethal takedown. It has nothing to do if it a kill or not.

but do me a favor & look at your total kill


in case you think im not creditable, kindly ask someone who has the guide book to verify it. Ask them to check the guide about Screaming Mantis battle. it clearly stated that "FROGS that stick to the wall, even you take it down using tranq gun, when they fall on the ground, it consider a kill"

and for the side note, i replay the FROGS battle last night and yes..i did Tranq 2 FROGS that cling to the wall and at the end of the ACT1, i got 2 kills

The following guide i took from game faqs, just to clear things up


--No humans killed
The kill stat increases when you kill someone with a lethal weapon or you
tranquilize someone and they fall to their death. The exception to this is
frogs clinging to walls. Gekkos and scarabs don't count and neither do tanks.

Any frogs I tranquilized during the Act 1 sequence and also the Act 3 bike
chase that fell to their deaths did not count as a kill. I have heard that
tranquilizing PMCs that are on ladders does count as a kill. I haven't tested
this yet.

Then he shouldn't have quoted the part about the octo bomb as well. And yes, I am THAT particular.

Added on June 24, 2008, 9:23 amAnd to clear things up, Kei already went through Act 1 by tranquilizing 2 FROGS clinging onto the wall and got 2 kill counts.

To those who disagree, prove it by replaying Act 1, tranquilize 2 FROGS clinging on the wall and check your death count at the end of the game.

And keep this in mind,

He is talking about the kill count at the end of Act 1.

If you disagree with what he said, try it and check and update here. This is FCUKING ghey for us to be arguing bout FROGS death counts ZOMG!

Hhmmm, I do have the collector edition guidebook and yes it did mention that frogs will die if u tranq them near the wall during the mantis fight, it did not mention anything about the frog fight in the Advent Palace either.

I will run through Act 1 again using Liquid Easy with that method to pass Act 1 to double confirm. Maybe I did not give it a headshot when they cling onto the wall, that is why they didnt fall to their death as I thought they did.

BTW, I've already completed the hardest difficulty MGS4 throw at us
