My first statue is from Koto. Its Archangel. I am so tempted to get another one only to find it was all sold out. Hopefully Shiok Toys can bring more in!

QUOTE(Timemuffin @ Apr 12 2012, 12:51 PM) LOL...Time to change to a more stronger shelf....I never trust detolf because I always have the feeling that my statues would go collapse and break everything. If displaying Hot Toys figures, it is the best way to go, budget wise Added on April 13, 2012, 10:32 amDrooling yet? ![]() This post has been edited by buggygil: Apr 13 2012, 10:32 AM |

Dear sifu,
I just got my kotobukiya magneto and noticed that there is a slight paint job issue. What paint should i use if i were to do it on my own? |

dammmn.
Those Koto X-Force pieces are beautiful.Koto surely saved the best for the last, creme of the crop is definitely Archangel. Seeing your bouncing boob Kasumi makes me hope that Koto will do a new set of DOA figures once DOA5 hits the market. |

I have a concern about our collectibles, me of course would try to preserve my polystone statue to a pristine condition as long as possible say, more than 50 years and if my children like it, they can have it, it's like passing from one generation to another, haha sort of like antique collection. I know nothing can last forever, our building made of concrete/steel bars can only last for around 500 years blah blah blah, My question now: can the statues last for 50 years without deteriorated condition?
As u all know due to the humid weather in country such as Malaysia, if I display my statue for some time (dehumidifier such as Thirsty Hippo), then I re-pack and put back to the box, will the fungus/mold appear at the statue's surface? Or, how about I have one that never been display, will I get the shock of my life one day if take it out and find out the surface of the polystone become "oily" like the one I encountered with my McFarlane toys? I know Mcfarlane and Sideshow use different material, but, will it happen? I have Indy Raiders Premium Format, the faux leather jacket appeared to be cracked at various place months after i display it, too bad. from then, I try to stay away from PF and stick only to sculptured one. |

QUOTE(SowYau @ Apr 17 2012, 10:28 AM) You are right that nothing last forever. That's why I display all my figs to fully enjoy and appreciate it when is still in pristine condition. I don't think there is a way to keep them in good conditions for long long time. Our humid weather is not helping.Added on April 17, 2012, 1:05 pm QUOTE(Timemuffin @ Apr 17 2012, 12:51 PM) Hey guys, if say someone (not me) is to let go a Ikea Besta cabinets at very genorous price, would anybody be interested?
