177.39 doesn't work for my 8800GT G92. I'm downloading and gonna try Nvidia PhysX from here: http://www.nvidia.com/object/ageia_8.04.25_whql.htmlEdit: Nevermind, I think this won't work too. Supports only AGEIA PhysX processors and software runtimes This post has been edited by TristanX: Jun 21 2008, 02:05 AM

You mean you can't install the driver?
NVIDIA GeForce 177.39 will only install (On default) on these graphic cards:- - GeForce GTX 280 - GeForce GTX 260 - GeForce 9800GTX
To use it on other cards, you'll need to modify the .inf file in the driver.
EDIT: You'll need PhysX driver version 8.06.12 to get the PhysX to work.

Thanks for the info but I'll wait for the official one. Kinda hate Vista driver issues when you modify it.

The driver is very stable for me. Using Vista32. I can't use the PhysX though, since mine is a G94.

Instead of using 3Dmark vantage, can we use the 3dmark06 to test whether the physic is working or not?

Yea, I'm curious to know it too since 3DMark06 has AGEIA PhysX support.

Hmmm I've tried the physx rendering using software mode only b4 and I must say it was impressive......Just the ball hitting a piece of cloth and how the cloth react to the momentum.
Just hope nvidia can bring along support to 8 or 9 series for the physics rendering..

Hey peeps, Most people dunno the NVidia GTX260 and GTX280 have native support for AGEIA PhysX. Personally, if you want to see the beauty of AGEIA PhysX, try playing Clive Barker Jericho, and that was written a year back I think.

i read some other forums noobs complaining they cant get things to work on their 8800GTS G80 or 8800 series. They never read that the initial release was meant for the 9 series and GT200. LOL...
