wow.. the mechanic show me.. even small problem can lead to catastrophic cases:
case 1 - leaky radiator cause overheat - burnt the gaskets - proton no stock to replace for 1 year sitting at workshop (not his shop) case 2 - leaky reservior for amt oil. manufacturing fault i think as the crack doesnt seem from force. but the real problem is at the drain plugs at the oilpan ( i think) leak until the amt cant work, cant change gear and the amt light on. just double seal the leak solved the case i dint know this guy can fix so many thing until i chat with him abt savvy and he start pulling spareparts from under his table to show me |

i think the base thing to troubleshoot a car is the basics. mechanics use some logic in troubleshooting. and so far this guy fully use this to his advantage. and with some modification skills..no car is too difficult to troubleshoot.

today just saw that the savvy promo is extended till end of sept! so those goyang goyang dunno want to book or not better act fast!
i think no point getting the 2007 stock, because 2008 stock got - 5 year warranty - less problem as proton rectify most of it (think tdc sensor) - face value also higher when u resale - now the promo is worth around 2-3k anyway. (free service, free petrol) |

now almost all showrooms got test drive car.
m-line tinting... can do outside anytime reverse sensor very cheap at brothers security lock - can get at brothers very cheap also auto central lock - some mod required. overall i think its not worth it. sommore, seems like the electronics in savvy is very sensitive. better not to mod too much unless u want to void the warranty, or there is no warranty at all. |

most new cars already have a 'ping sensor' in the engine. meaning if the fuel is of sub standard, then it will retard the timing to suit it.
for example, most fuel in indonesia are of ron 88. ron 92 and 95 are the high end fuel. --- davidmu: on warranty of HU.. it is possible not to cut any wires. according to accessory shops, they can use the clip method to connect the wires. but keep in mind, if u short some wires and fries something. dun expect proton to honour warranty on that. -- edwin88: stop surfing on the web for info on savvy. go out and test drive one then surf for info. -- hyper: i fully agree. my family's honda is going to die soon because of CVT issue, honda can't do anything to help. most likely will need to change a recond gearbox soon. |
