Hows the Amsoil ATM 10W/30? Feels good eh? Now on nearly 40k km on this (third time drain change)...plan to extend another 5km to 15k km before 4th drain with 3 oil filter change.

For the fuel cap - i've seen savvy with those Brother type R cap chrome colour - should be cheap - no need to paint.

I think should be called fuel lid. the cap is the plastic cap inside one.
*
QUOTE(rkjsoo @ Nov 20 2008, 01:37 AM)
yeah the correct term is fuel lid
*
owh. so the outside 1 we call it fuel lid eh. k k. thanks for telling me. blush.gif
brother type r cap chrome? what is that bro hyper?

QUOTE(lj0000 @ Nov 20 2008, 08:08 AM)
ya. the black color is called primer i think. the function is to increase the paint bonding between paint and metal.
*
ooo. k k. thanks! smile.gif

I don't believe this, to be honest.

I get an average 13-14km/l. My savvy starts the fuel blink light at ~350km, and I will travel normall about until ~400km then only pump petrol -- and only 29-30l will be able to go in.

Also in theory I should be able to go 530-540 km on a full tank ... YEAH RIGHT. The one and only time I decided to go by the theory, by 480 km ran out of gas and had to call a friend to go buy petrol for me.
*
not 40l la. around 36l only.

I don;t really think it is a good practice to promote tailgating here
So wat if ur car got ABS?
what if the car behind u do not have ABS?

In the end, you can avoid hitting car in front but the car behind u will still bang on u
*
sos?
read savoc.net.

got several members drive their car till no more fuel left in tank. car cannot move/even start. when refill, max fuel can fill around 36/37l only. smile.gif

y dont u try urself. check either its true or not. laugh.gif

haha. tailgating is dangerous. got abs or not is another story. smile.gif

alexkhoo

i dont want to bang that myvi la. later i lost my ncb. sweat.gif

u think savoc.net is gospel truth?

manufacturer specs says it is 40l so accept it lah

those crazy fella drive until their tank is dry, then engine shut down.
FYI, some petrol might still be inside the tank, only that the fuel pipe unable to suck in more fuel.
instead it is sucking in air inside the fuel tank, so once the sensor detected it, it will shut down the fuel pump

u wanna bet the fuel tank is really bone dry when those fella go pump maximum at petrol station?
even if pump to the max, are u 100% confirm that the fuel tank is filled to the brim?

anyway 40-36 = 4litres is only a small amount, and u cant really go very far

I dont really see the point in arguing the fuel tank capacity
*
even if there's 4 litre left but if we cant use it out so what? it wont make any diff. thinking abt it will make u feel sakit hati.

rather than thinking this car's tank got 40l capacity (but usable up to 36l only), i rather think the later. wink.gif

why u suddenly shoot me? i feel offended okay. shakehead.gif

anyway i am not quoting u first. and this stuff has been discussed like how many time i cant remember. just reread everything.

for new user, ur fc will improve overtime. mine at first go around 13-14km/l. after 8kkm, i got around 15-16km/l. highway give me 16-17km/l.

just hope mine fc will be as good as bro hyper. smile.gif

*
no 5000km service for me.

when i did 1k service, my next service interval is 10k km.

and yes, 10kkm.

savvy is continental car. not japan car. service interval is 10kkm. pls remember that. use at least semi sysn but full sysn would b better.

Does Savvy have free service for 5000km? service interval at 10k km but you still need to change the oil every 5k km right?
*
i got 3 coupon for 1st 3 service.

1k, 5k, 10k.

since sc skip 5k service, then i dont even use the coupon.

i know its not engine oil..that is why i ask, do we need to change the amt oil at the 1st service? since if i ask my sc to use renaultmatic then at 1k service still have to change..so better i wait till 1k service then..

i think some1 had mention their amt fluid had been change at his 1st service and he is using renaultmatic.
*
actually, sc wont change until u request them so. but renaultmatic at proton very expensive. after u change it no need to change it again. actually, sc wont change ur amt fluid la.

those member did it at rs auto if not mistaken. not at proton sc. smile.gif eh, can u understand my explanation?

fc @ 90km/h ... 18.8km/l
  @malaysia's book of record... 23km/l

i think proton should give some of their tips for tht excellent fc  drool.gif

anyone know when the fuel warning starts... we still have approximately how many liters?

Cuz today my fuel meter blinking at 1 bar... i was so scared, off aircon, off radio and drive at 50km/h oni...  sweat.gif

Anyway who is Jeff lwh? why he sounds like he hates savvy so much 1?? he drives savvy or not?
*
usually, mine when start blinking (with 2 bar) if i refill, around 27-28l max can put. still got another 8/9l left in tank. which can go around 120/135km more if u able to reach at least 15km/l. hehehe.

if got 1 bar only, i think my car edy use up to 30l of petrol. which mean got another 6l left in tank.

i take that our car fuel tank max is 36l. smile.gif

tips? turn off ur car everything, reduce ur car weight, ur right foot must be very light, change gear below 3krpm etc etc. maybe can get 23km/l. hahaha.

whose that jeff lwh? just ignore him.

my savvy now vry makan minyak d... around 360km when 1 bar blinking... means fc is 12km/l oni... haiz... so sad...

Anyway i just read back the older post... do we really hv to flash our foglamps when we see other savvy's? LOL...
*
ur car still new?
urs amt? u use D or Manual mode?
at which rpm u change ur gear?
r u a heavy footer?
hv u adjust ur engine hood? there's 2 nut where u can adjust it so ur cai can hv more air/room to breath.

i try adjusting those nut. i am not sure its really help or not but i realize that, if too much or too little gap, my fc become worst.

mine is amt and now i always use manual mode instead of D. due to in D gear always change between 2.5 - 3 k rpm. if change more than 3k rpm in D, i consider myself as heavy footer. in manual i always change my gear between 2 - 2.5krpm. i also realize in manual mode my auto lit never turn on.

i become a light footer. i let myself pressing the throttle at easy pace instead of pressing it hastily. be gentle on ur throttle.

if possible try not to use ur brake frequently.

thats what i did. now my fc in city is around 15-16km/l (average speed between 60-90kmh). highway 16-17km/l with average speed around 120kmh. if in highway i drive more than 120kmh my fc gonna b worst. sweat.gif

my car turn out to hv better fc when it start clocking at 8k km. now my car clock at 11k km edy. smile.gif
