m.. don't know, i'm using x38 also, but is Abit IX38 QuadGT. my preview psu can't handle maybe (this is what i hope, cause i ordered the new psu)

yet got it and tested. but i'm in deep shit now spent money for trouble.
 Attention: to all the ABIT IX38 QUADGT mainboard users, who are plan to get 4870x2 with this board better hold it. this board have compatible issue, you unable to see POST screen until ABIT release new BIOS to solve this problem. both items 4870x2 and Corsair HX1000W is working on my ABIT AW9D-MAX board. hmm dfi club i was there before hoping to get solution but now...
anyway they already identified the problem its the award bios incompatibility with all the x2 series and with gecube 3870 turbo x.. as long as your mobo run with award bios + x38 n x48 you might have some problem... so far for ami bios its not affected... |

finally able to make it POST and installed the driver. otherwise going get new mainboard.
my solution is flash back to first release BIOS 10. but i didn't try 11 and 12. for 13 and 14 tried no POST. |
