UTM: Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, main campus is at Skudai, JB. There's a city campus in Jln Semarak, KL (only for diplomas)

UiTM: Universiti Teknologi MARA. Each state in Malaysia has a branch. Main one is in Shah Alam. Caters only for Bumiputeras. But those going for INTEC has an exception, but the quota for non-bumis is pretty low

Hey, I got offered diploma in mechanical engineering in UTM thru UPU... I haven't receive the offer letter yet, but all diploma students study in KL or Skudai campus also can?

utm and um
which is better generally?
which is best for engineering?

I checked thru their official website & listed all SPM candidates thath beeen chosen will go to their campus at Kuala Lumpur.

Its really convinience for me as i just live at Ampang here but do 1st year student compulsory to stay at hostel or something?

Diploma all goes to KL

UTM:

1.has a faculty for each genre of engineering, i.e. electrical has its own site, mecha its own site, etc etc
2. well, name is Uni Teknologi Malaysia, and it says we're premier university in Science and Technology


UM:

not sure, but last time i went there, saw there's only 1 common site for engineering. Each type of engineering only has a few blocks or so.


While i'm not sure how things are in UM, i can't say UTM is really good either. But we do have quite a number of technological achievements, e.g. winning the Robocon competition, and some others i didn't bothered to read about

for UTM KL i'm not so sure, u might wan to look thru their student handbook.

For UTM Skudai, students must stay in the hostel throughout the duration of study :/
and got curfew hours and lotsa other rules shietz wan

that's UTM (and lots of other IPTAs for u), except for UM though (got no curfew wan)

Hey guys, I only got 8A1B in my spm. My 1st application was rejected. I sent in my e-rayuan already. What is the percentage of my chance getting the 2nd offer for Mechatronics & Mechanical diploma ? 3rd week of july only know the results, have to go form 6 for few weeks 1st in case i didnt get again >.<

I couldnt access UTM website right now,but try find it under programmes link.

all diploma courses will be held at UTMs new campus at Bandar Penawar, Johor
starting next semester...
