go for Lian Li PC-A05 [Link]

the case is 4kg only (Net Weight --> case only) compared to ur Praetorian that is 6.3kg shocking.gif

no choice better than that wink.gif

plus with its size is rather shorter than normal ATX case, same height with mATX case drool.gif

u can stick with ur Praetorian. its a good case which is already very light.

any other cases alu cases of the same size would probably have the same weight. bigger ones would mean heavier.

if u still want to change u could go with the Lian Lis...either

PC-007

or

PC-A07

both roughly the same weight as ur Praetorian
*
can i get it at lowyat plaza ? how much the price..

Like Lian Li PC-A05...just like what i want to be...use atx mobo but size like sff case hehe...any other choice ?

@Doom
hahaha...i would recommend Lian Li PC-7S for those who wish to get their first aluminum casing. But after looking at AceCombat's former LL V2000, I'm starting to feel the time is near for me to change casing already  tongue.gif . V2000 sure looks sweet!!
*
but i can't find anyone here selling tat model... cry.gif

QUOTE(blessedvillain @ Nov 20 2007, 12:29 AM)
Light weight yes! tougher than SECC metal? maybe....but the toughness of aluminium vs SECC depends on the build quality of each case. some metal casing are so low quality and flimsy, a slight force would dent the side panel.

for those who wish to find out wat's the fuss about aluminium casing...do spend some time to do research and most importantly, you must personally see and touch an actual aluminium casing. The shine/smoothness of the aluminium casing is something that is hard to ignore.
*
btw.. is it only two kind of material they use? either SECC metal(steel?) or aluminium?
ya.. i've touch one tat day.. raidmax x force ^^ it's nice.... but out of my budget oledi rclxub.gif
n at my place here don hv much choices of casing... :S

If u want light weight for portability then look no elsewhere for Lian Li ..

The lightest would be PC-A05 or slightly larger and heavier PC-7S

theres the Lian Li V600. but its quite heavy for that size if im not mistaken. roughly the same as ur praetorian.

i think the A05 is the lightest.

both cases can get in LYP...shop name ATE.

SUGO-03 should do the job.

Two at the bottom, and one at the optical drive zone.

Hmm it should be about RM540 if purchase locally, if u could try uglyvamp see whether would get a better deal.

It has good airflow with dual 12cm intake .. but no exhaust ..

You could check out Uncle Ianho's GT40 thread to have a look of the case ..

I think with ur scenario probably u could look for a slightly bigger case like Lian Li PC-A05 ...

It has better ventilation than those small babe... and definitely could handle three HDDs without problem.

So u could just mod the top or the side for opening allowing more fresh air.

and add a nice piece of handles for easier carrying ...

haha, i bet if u ask all Sugo03 owner, their answer's should be the same with mine whistling.gif

i'm waiting for ianho to start mod on the GT40 brows.gif

wanna see how he overcomes the hdd's temo issue

PC-V300 = ±RM350

PC-V350 = dunno

bro, both case also got no fan blowing to the hdds..

so i think the hdd's temp gonna be the same with Sugo03

either u go for PC-A05 (like Doom said) or if u really insist on SFF case, go for Sugo01 (but damn expensive, way out of ur budget laugh.gif )

It has a removable motherboard tray to mount the mobo before inserting into the case ...

It only could accommodate Micro atx mobo..

It does not able to fit gc that is longer than the mobo's width..

and the gc may not have cooler is wider than the card as well............

Pretty restrictive..
