If u are at KL go have a visit to LYP to have a close view for any potential case u would like..

if u aren't at KL, to to bulk section to check it out ..

Don't simply ask a question without specific concern.

State ur requirement not just the budget only ..

Size, additional feature and premium price pay to be different than ICute, PowerLogic and etc ..

Basically if u are looking into a case, size, airflow, flexibility, expandability, modification and aesthetic would be ur concern.

Price tag comes last to balance off all ur requirements..

There's CM690 ... one of the latest releases ..

got both good and bad points ... but overall one of the best casing they ever make...

but overall I would recommend u to get Lian Li or Gigabyte for better choice of Mid tower case ... they have more to offer when comes to airflow, quietness and configuration ...

I'm not very good at recommending PC casing, but generally, try to look for case with 120mm intake and 120mm exhaust fans. Aluminum casings are good choices but most of them are more than RM200. other than that, just look for a casing with good solid build. and of course a casing that suit your taste.

Cooler master C5 seems to be within your budget...

Push up ur budget a bit to RM238 and get a full aluminum case that is light weight and has good airflow ...

Light weight would help you better in installing the hardwares or doing maintenance work.

model: Lian Li PC-7S ..

I bet BlessedVillain would agree with it ... right ??

@Doom
hahaha...i would recommend Lian Li PC-7S for those who wish to get their first aluminum casing. But after looking at AceCombat's former LL V2000, I'm starting to feel the time is near for me to change casing already tongue.gif . V2000 sure looks sweet!!

V2000 is huge dude ... I can't imagine how big it was again when irangan throw it out from the box. ...

feels like anytime it would falls down and slam on anyone ... or anything ..

For me I would prefer V1200 coz it maintains the sleek front panel looks without pushing the size extravaganza.

Besides, why need such a big case when doing air cooling, I would rather do my water cooling in a V1200 so that it looks cute, sexy and cool ...

ya..ya..i'm looking at LL V1200 for my next upgrade...it's true that i do not need such as huge case like V2000. Right now I'm getting the itch to change something for my rig, either casing or graphics card....but most probably will change casing since gaming is not my priority...

But one thing about LL V1200 that really bothers me is the front ventilation. I already have problem keep the dust off from getting in to my PC-7S, I cant imaging the amount of dust that will be sucked in by V1200....

Light weight yes! tougher than SECC metal? maybe....but the toughness of aluminium vs SECC depends on the build quality of each case. some metal casing are so low quality and flimsy, a slight force would dent the side panel.

for those who wish to find out wat's the fuss about aluminium casing...do spend some time to do research and most importantly, you must personally see and touch an actual aluminium casing. The shine/smoothness of the aluminium casing is something that is hard to ignore.

@blessedvillain
Rest assure, I was so surprised with the amount of dust collected within my V1000 before after a week..

U know what, there's really not much ... some how shocking.gif

That's why I loved the case so much and would said it's the best looking case with top cooling performance in one. Despite the HDD cage, everything was really sufficient from my point of view both cooling and ease of use.. and one thing about V-Series is cable management may be tough ...

most of aluminum case is built with certain integrity level that it won't bent or dented easily.

However it is definitely slightly flimsy compared to high quality SECC case which usually are heavy as well ..

The reason people said a case must be heavy to show quality because it some how reflects the thickness of the steel and the structure inside.

However moving a case that weight more than 20 KGs is really killer heavy ,,

especially for people that like to do cable management or swapping hardwares for testing ...

Plz recommend me a case that ligh-weight enough and portable to me to carry it around for lan party...

this is my rig spec
Intel C2Q Q6600 - RM945
GIGABYTE P35-DS3 - RM395
4GB KINGSTON PC 800 DDR2 [RM115 x 4] - RM460
LG DVDRW (LIGHT SCRIBE) - RM115
ZOTAC 8800GT 512MB D3 OC (660/1800) - RM899
SILVERSTONE STRIDER 560WATTS - RM399
3 Western Digital Hard disk

Currently rite now use Cooler master Praetorian...already use it for 3 year..happy with it but want to get a lightest than this case bcos usually i use it to lan party...no budget...it could be cheap or expensive as long as it is light as possible..

If can find light weight case...might be just use Cooler master Praetorian only but hoping if can find case that lightweight it is a bonus to me.

go for Lian Li PC-A05 [Link]

the case is 4kg only (Net Weight --> case only) compared to ur Praetorian that is 6.3kg shocking.gif

no choice better than that wink.gif

plus with its size is rather shorter than normal ATX case, same height with mATX case drool.gif

u can stick with ur Praetorian. its a good case which is already very light.

any other cases alu cases of the same size would probably have the same weight. bigger ones would mean heavier.

if u still want to change u could go with the Lian Lis...either

PC-007

or

PC-A07

both roughly the same weight as ur Praetorian
