Never really tried Vista until SP1 was released. So far so good with it. I'm very satisfied.

One thing I don't like after SP1 is, Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro 2009 Build 6.5 intermittently failed to start during startup. It causes drag to my system, and I need to log off and re-log on to make it correct. Nothing much, but it's a little irritating to waste some seconds just to make the thing works.

i voted NO... as more of my hardware are having problems detecting... both my epson cx3500 (multifunction printer) and canon mp140 drivers canot be installed... tried downloading latest drivers and installing them but still the os wouldnt detect the printers/scanners... whereas it used to work pre-sp1... -just passing by......-

Well after switching from XP 32 bit SP2 to Vista 64 bit SP1, all I can say is theres no any weird issues such as claimed by most forummers here. Everything is smooth and fine. - Copy file no prob - boot time no prob - shut down time no prob thou hibernate is better - all softwares and games have no compatibility issues, heck even my 3D rendering stuff has speedup I really suggest new users to read and understand your PC specs and list down the softwares you are using to check weather its compatible or not before jumping into the wagon just because u want a Vista OS. Bottom line is I am very satisfy with my genuine Vista

QUOTE(imsmiko @ Aug 18 2008, 10:00 AM) which version? i use both 3.6 and 4.14 same. lags. 4.14 user here, no problem at all. However, I don't recommend for ppl who are very busy with their lives to upgrade to vista, it took me at least 4 hours to upgrade from XP to vista and plus about 1 hour to upgrade to SP 1, and i haven't included the time needed to clean those temp files, xp directories during transition to vista, and as usual there are still some tweaking to do after upgrade complete. Slower startup is expected but im glad only longer for few secs (around 40-50s). And I noticed that using Vista definitely need 17'' monitor and above, those icons are freaking bigger than XP even its in minimum size, but overall i'm satisfied with Vista SP1, nvr had any problems or major issues after 2-3 weeks using it.
