QUOTE(unknownsubject @ Jan 9 2009, 11:52 PM) just installed xp1 a few days ago.installing all service packs are a big waste of time.quite literally but after sp1, my ultimate runs smoother and somehow the dreamscene doesn't lag/frame drop anymore. 4gb of ram shows 4 gb on sys info, but under resources it still goes to 3gb....time to switch to x64 You don't needa' install previous SPs before installing the latest version. Example: You don't needa' install SP2 to install SP3. I'd recommend that you vLite/Integrate SPs into your WIndows installations discs. Example: I've got Windows XP Pro with SP3 built-in and Windows Vista Ultimate with SP1 vLited/Integrated. Therefore, I don't needa' re-install SPs after every reformat/reinstallation.

Yup, runs faster after I install SP1 on X32. And even faster when I switch to X64

QUOTE(Qute @ Feb 12 2009, 10:57 AM) I don't get it. Did you actually mean X86 instead of X32? X32, X86, 32-bit is the same shit. X64, 64-bit is also the same. But people rarely use X32...

Vista Sp1 is more stable.
As for 4GB RAM, use 64 bit OS.
