SR16VE actually can rev till 9k for stock normal sr16ve,and for the n1 i think can go beyong 11k,an i saw some doing that
even normal sr20ve i see alot doing 8k or 8.5k
sure it has two kick in
for sr16ve i think is at 5500 and 6800
so maybe u cant realize for the second kick in
or maybe ur previous user had set the both vvl engage at the same time.this combo likes by europe,and this what i going to set also
both vvl engage at the same time around 5k.acttually is quite waste for the second exchaust vvl kick in at 6800 due it had not much room for it already,and even sr16ve had speed cut at 7800 and can rev till 8.5k but most dyno show the power start droping at 7k

i think high way full tank can get 500KM ^^

ya~ 1st kick in engine sound nv change just like normal ... but can feel it...... last kick in is about 6800RMP .. last kick in sound got change... but not as big as vtec....maybe i use ori airfilter guaaa..... dunno

full tank get 500km? I dun think so la, u'll be very lucky if u can get 450km...

Vanquish.....rev your engine to 9k rpm..........when you hit 8k let me know.......Ah Leong and me will wait with a tow truck for you

If I have more than 100 pairs of spare SR16VE cams, I'll probably do what U said... Otherwise, no frakking way!

camshaft? better ask for spare fuel and GB. if hit 9k rpm then collect rm500 from him. haha

For me, I drive a B14 Sentra...

What's GB?

Gearbox kua.

GB=gear box.
the gear box will be the 1st thing to kong if u rev too high. the camshaft tahan lasak one unless u regrind it. sometimes the piston will pecah/crack or the piston ring hanggus or crankshaft bearing pecah if over rev. the camshaft no problem one lar.
tat's why there is a gear box cooler to cool down the GB from being kong.

is it possible put sr16ve in ad-resort? or direct to sr20ve? which one spare part easy get?

yeah, the 3rd time sound.... the sound of >>> engine failure
