sr16ve and sr20ve is different in VVL activation.
for sr16ve, the intake VVL kick in earlier then the exhaust cam will kick in later.
for sr20ve, both intake and exhaust kick in at the same time.

my fren got a sr16ve, he could hear the intake kick in then exhaust kick in from the exhaust. some ppl say he got 2 vtec cozs they heard 2 times vtec sound. haha..........
even stock muffler i guess u also can hear the VVL kick in sound.
as for feel, yes u can feel the power come in when VVL kick in.
u got a sr16ve or sr20ve?

if the engine in on lantai how u know the VVL kick in twice since u didnt drive it?

SR20VE
On the SR20VE the intake camshaft is switched at 5000rpm, and the exhaust at 6500rpm. However this trait was not included on the newer '20v' version, as both camshafts engage at the same RPM.

sorry i got it wrong. sr20ve kick in 2 times. haha....... but the sr20ve for P12 kick in simutanously.

8k too early. its 9k rpm then u can hear a louder kick in. u will see ur Valve spring come out from muffler. haha...........

GB=gear box.
the gear box will be the 1st thing to kong if u rev too high. the camshaft tahan lasak one unless u regrind it. sometimes the piston will pecah/crack or the piston ring hanggus or crankshaft bearing pecah if over rev. the camshaft no problem one lar.
tat's why there is a gear box cooler to cool down the GB from being kong.
