Hey guys, my parents had JUST bought my brother this phone today but had unfortunately bought the Korean version...  :s  Which means the buttons display Korean alphabets as the main characters (the bigger icons on the keys) instead..is there anyway the keypads can be changed..? The normal (A,B,C,D etc) alphabets are there on the buttons but i think those will be the "Function" keys instead (the font is in blue)..Any thoughts..?

i dono it's because of that or what but somehow after install new firmware and garmin my battery drain so fast. then after i uninstall garmin everything's ok. the weird thing is, i'm not running the garmin but my battery still drain so fast.

anyone got idea on how to change the unit used in garmin to kilometer(KM) instead of miles?

Yes, I think renaming the extension would disable it. As a secondary precaution, I took the file to another folder and rename the entire filename and extension. Please take note that when you upgrade to 5.00.20 the installer will replace the file so you should doublecheck that the file is properly removed.

Does anyone know what the hard reset code is? Its not the factory reset option in the menu cos that doesnt erase calendar entries and installed apps. I want to totally wipe it and start from scratch again. *#7870# doesnt work on this phone.

Hey guys. Need help big time. I couldn't search/track back the past 90 pages regarding this issue so I'm just gonna post my problem here.

I just bought an E71 two days ago. An AP set. The phone had huge problems with the Memory Card not reading and error in messages. Just only one night of using it. Pissed me off big time so I went back to the shop and asked what's up.

They don't even know and they replaced my phone with a new set and just two hours after that, it happened again. This time without an error but the Memory Card will be detected if there is no SIM in place. So the shop people told me off very rude that my SIM have problems, virus, etc, I went to change a new SIM card at the Maxis center right away. It still couldn't work and now they are accusing me of condemning two more other E71's they changed for me.

So since it's a public holiday on Monday, I couldn't give up my phone for a week, I took it back to use it for the time being. Did my research and there are quite a number of people actually having this SIM card Memory Card problem. I know it doesn't make sense but that's what it is and that's what happened. Some even said that the card is too huge it knocks off the reader of the Memory Card slot or something so they "thinned" the SIM card to overcome the problem. I haven't done anything with mine yet.

I'm just very frustrated with the phone at the moment albeit the awesome reviews and such. So now, I'm using this "defected" E71, I am encountering a couple more problems. Like my Menu doesn't pop up, calls cannot be made with an Not Allowed error. This and that, I give up. Really.

Hope you guys could guide me if anyone have experienced the problem.

Oh and also, my firmware is the 100.06.67. The software updater says I don't have a new firmware upgrade yet but the .127 is out already.

I will have to probably send the phone back to the shop and to their AP dealer to check with the phone on Tuesday and give up my phone which I don't want to because I will be out of the country on Thursday.

is it because i didnt charge like super long the first time? normaly when u first get ur phone ur supposed to charge like overnight or sth right?i didnt. i charged it for 4 hours only..cos i was afraid of overcharging..
