I found the solution by own testing The problem that I meet early is turn on wifi and can't search any wifi connection event my own modem, after I try few round and the last thing I do is change the SSID name without any "space" between 2 words, then the Iphone just search my modem &..... Online .

Hi, I recently upgraded my US set 3G iPhone to firmware 3.1.2, after the upgrade, the iPhone failed to detect any wifi network at all, i've tried at different places and time but to no avail. Resetting the network settings did not help either . Any recommendation guys?

Hey guys, I have a question would like to ask: If I'm connecting the WiFi, but I didn't do any web surfing, is it will drain my battery more faster?

for those whose can't see any wifi addresses after upgrading/jailbreaking 3.1.2, try this method:
1) turn off your phone
2) open itunes on pc
3) while itunes open, connect iphone to your computer
your iphone should bot after that. after booting, the wifi probelm should be no more.. well, at least it worked for me.

Seriously and honestly speaking, there's one instruction i googled which is putting the iphone in the freezer for about 5 mins, and guess what, my iphone DID DETECT wifi signal!!! and i CAN connect to the wifi! i'll update in 1 hour time whether its still connecting.. p/s: i assume it is the hardware problem then.. It will cost me freakin rm400++ to change it! damn This post has been edited by skadimo: Feb 2 2010, 12:10 PM
