QUOTE(Baronic @ Dec 19 2008, 10:41 PM) Budget is less than RM 2K. Don't really like HTC camera, not so smooth and lagging when taking picture. I really need a good camera phone as I use it a lot to take picture of minute of meeting on white board as well as things relate to my work for report and etc. Currently I own a Touch Cruise which is a really good PDA. However sms and emailing is not that easy without QWERTY keyboard. Thank you in advance for your help. |

All PDAS camera are of similar quality, so if u dun want HTC because of the camera, u shud stay away from PDAs entirely honestly. That said, Cruise camera is quite good. U need a steady hand of course, and yea, video framerates for all PDA cams are bad.
I suggest a second hand Omnia, or HTC Tytn 2 |

Brand Preference if any: HTC / O2are prior, others also can Second hand: Yes QWERTY keyboard: Yes Keypad: Hardware GPS: Yes Bluetooth: Yes WIfi: Yes Frequent Overseas traveller to Japan and US? or other countries: No Camera Resolution minimum: Any Expandable Memory: Yes 3G : Yes HSDPA or higher: Nevermind Front Camera: Yes Gaming Type: Light gaming Screen Resolution: dont give a hoot Actually, i really like the o2 exec like this below picture shown...credit goes to the owner of picture username : sevenhong in his thread. Before this i never used the windows mobile gadget, just use P990i (symbian OS). i don't know either 02 exec like in the picture ok or not coz i never seen people used this model. TyTN II / iPhone is my dream gadget, but it too expensive for me as a student. So, what ur recommendation? Attached thumbnail(s) |

@monsh, get a HTC Touch Diamond. Fulfils all your specs requirements and more.
@mayatreput, the Dopod 900, is a rather old device, with rather old specs. plus its quite heavy. i think if u're considering it, it would be far more prudent to look at a second hand 838pro. Much much better. A second hand HTC tytn 2 maybe just a lil bit over your budget |

Hi friends, need advise on a potential purchase of a PDA smartphone. Currently I'm using a 2 year old Nokia 9300i Communicator. I think it's time for me to get a new replacement.
BUDGET RANGE: Below RM2k Brand Preference if any: HTC Second hand: No. Only new. QWERTY keyboard: Yes (Using a Communicator, I've grown too dependent on a QWERTY keyboard.) Keypad: Yes. GPS: Can live without it, but OK if comes pre-loaded. Bluetooth: Yes WIfi: Yes (Major reason why I'm still my communicator. Frequent Overseas traveller to Japan and US? or other countries: Yes Camera Resolution minimum: No preference. Expandable Memory: Yes 3G : Yes HSDPA or higher: Yes Front Camera: No preference. Can live without it. Gaming Type: light gaming Screen Resolution: Doesn't matter. What I have in mind now is the HTC S740. But, other comments and recommendations are most welcomed. |
