BUDGET RANGE: max of 2.5k

Brand Preference if any: None

Second hand: Yes

QWERTY keyboard:no

Keypad: Virtual / Hardware, dont actually matters. As long as its possible to sms while driving. my current one only have qwerty virtual, which needs stylus. so very hard to sms while drive.

GPS: Prefer yes but can live with a no

Bluetooth: Yes

WIfi: Yes / no

Frequent Overseas traveller to Japan and US? or other countries: No

Camera Resolution minimum: 2mb

Expandable Memory: Not important

3G: HSDPA?

HSDPA or higher: Yes

Front Camera: Not important

Gaming Type: Not going to use this for gaming

Screen Resolution: As high as possible?

Size: can fit nicely in pocket. if its thin, its better. pda holder attached to belt is a no for me.

on top of this, i also want to use it as a modem with my laptop.

i almost come to conclusion with either LG KS20, Asus P750, or HP iPAQ 610c. any other possible device to make the decision more difficult? haha

erm, i would stay away from LG. lousy windows mobile device. the other two is so so. u can use virtual T9 keypad. better than qwerty. its like a normal phone keypad but on the screen. it is free and can be installed in all HTC devices and most non HTC devices.

for modem and such, u need a special instalation file, i dun know any freeware that can do that. however, Touch Diamond and Touch Pro can do it, with a custom rom.

modem installation file aside, i recommend the HTC P3600i, everything u need, can install T9 virtual, and has outstanding battery life for a pda

bro, i remembered u saying that the P3600i lags alot. Baronic and myself thinks u are better off using other Symbian and not WM.

for Symbians, u better check out the Handsphones and Communications subforum. most of us are anti- Symbian here.. hahaa.. i noe bout symbians abit. not that much.
*
lets just say i dun mind the lag...
actually had a change of mind n now currently considering WM too..
hahaha
so any suggestions?

haha. i know. its superly dangerous. and i urge everyone not to even try doing it. but sometimes things are just too important i just have too. but im driving auto and doing it very carefully. that aside, its still a very dangerous thing to do. haha

touch dual, hmmm srry mate but i dont like slides and it looks ugly to me.

care to explain more on the LG thing? currently im using moto e6. and as said above, im a big sucker for cool design. that ks20 definitely pawns other phone design wise. and i really2 am thinking of getting that, unless someone can prove its really2 bad. ive been reading ks20's thread and ppl there seems to be happy with it.

the modem thing, i think its almost possible with every phone. with my current e6, i just have to change the option so that whenever connected to a pc, it will detect as a modem. i taught its going to be easier for newer phones?

that 3600i is really tempting, but its 18.4mm thick. my e6 is 14.5mm and that ks20 is 12.8. well, just imagine how bulky its going to look inside a pocket if im wearing jeans. hehe~ any other suggestion?

no offense to LG owners, but for a windows mobile device it is an epic fail device IMHO. i had a chance to play around with it, laggy even with no programs running in the back ground, camera framerate sucks, and it doesnt have graphics accelerators. the camera is not bad tho for a wm phone. otherwise, i'd stay away from it.

HTC devices have all the same charge port, any car charger for PDA will do.

@marmee, lol, would the thread on PDA games and Applications had by any chance influence on your decision haha. i cant remember your specs, but i think if your requirements didnt change, neither would my recommendation.

@dvm, there is no such thing as which is the best. each got pros and cons, see the specs and the hardware, keyboard etc etc etc. asking which is the best is a subjective question, and there is no correct answer. so do avoid asking that. look at both and YOU decide what u want.

blackberry is a pda, manufactured by nokia. in all sense, it IS a pda. just that they call it blackberry for marketing purposes

Used to owned P3600i and LG KS20. P3600i u can always assume it as last generations C- class Benz... not so pretty as the latest C-class but yet - its a performing, hi quality Benz. LG on the other hand its like new gen Hyundai Scoupe - nice and sleek but can be outperfomed by Benz C class anytime. Btw LG KS20 support in the web plus here in Malaysia by Zitron Malaysia - so crappy! Zitron tech expert seems to know next to nothing about new ROM etc etc for the KS20. Stay away from LG KS20... i know.. im ex owner
