oh btw, "no such thing for n85 is ridiculous" coz it really happen....js i think surely that unit having some software problems....

for the auto rotate, i found that it can't rotate at incline position... you can't tilt the phone a little and rotate it.. has to rotate at 90 degrees.. or you just shake the phone a little after you physically rotate it. It works.

I was planning to buy n85 too but after playing with the demo unit, i don't want to buy it anymore. I don't like the cheap plastic feel of the soft keys, it gives squeak sound when i pressed it and not that nice to press. It feels that even my 6300 has better built quality. And also because of the launch of n97. HEHE

im not sure la abt the auto-rotate function. js it happen like what i said during test it. but as for build quality, this n85 feel much2 better than n95, n82 n etc. for me it feels solid in my hand. really like the this phone actually. but still inconsideration. haha.

I've never used a n95 before so i am not sure. N82 feels ok on my hand but a bit bulky, played with the demo. N85 overall built feels good, the sliding mechanism is firm and gives the impression that it would last a long time. What I don't like was the soft keys. I hate the way they make all the keys connect together in a big piece of plastic, feels cheap and squeak when pressed. I am using a 6300 now, the keys feel much better.

whenever i use the fm transmitter, there is a "beep" sound from my car speaker. Is this normal or what?

lol, i guess the phone will be auto rotate with 90 degree position la.. means must put straight.. when u put the phone in front of ur face then the accelerometer will be working..

may i know how the navi wheel works? is it like n81?

mine dont have that sound...its same as playing music using the media player..no beep sound...maybe yours got interference with others radio signal..not sure thou...

actually, not exactly 90degres..45 oso can..just try it...maybe need to shake a bit...that phone a bit "malas" to turn..
the navi wheel works great...i suggest to upgrade the firmware 1st...after that, u can feel the navi wheel diff...much more faster...really useful when browsing gallery and the contacts....

the latest and the only newer firmware for n85 is version 11.047..u can update using NSU, direct from your PC.
i dont know about the price thou...long time not survey...can ask some forumer at garage sales...their ori price quite reasonable...

yup...just install everything from the DVD...
later after u buy, do some review here...i oso need to know diff between ori and ap...especially the battery last how long?? mine is AP set only...

is the firmware size large or not? take how long of time? as i see from gsmarena.com, the battery capacity is quite high right? can last for few days with normal usage..

if i'm not mistaken, u need to download the firmware to your pc 1st...make sure to connect your phone because the NSU need to detect the phone 1st before download the firmware...after that, it will auto install to your phone...less than 20minutes i think...just make sure, the battery is full...and no need to worry of losing data...upgrading firmware will not erase any data in your phone...

mine AP set, the battery can last about 2 and a half days with normal usage...some says, ori will do better...not sure thou...i oso want to know this...

beep is when u switched on the fm transmitter and u r not transmitting any music. when u play music, u shouldn't hear any beep anymore.

funny, when i turn on the fm transmitter and plays music.. i can also hear the beep sound coming out from my fren's radio..... LOL
