Latest picture for my front double bicep pose. Pretty happy with my progress. Left tricep is lagging though, making my whole left arm look smaller. sweat.gif

Dan, more hammer curls and front raises. That'll bring up the weak points.

training with mr darkie sure can get you somewhere at higher level faster than usual...weh why not enter contender asia 2 la ?? apply cuti 1 semester la...lol

=P You give me too much credit. I'm just sharing the knowledge I gained from Terry, Zethry and Blake Skola. Those 3 were the driving force behind my development. But i can say from 45kg to 87kg, putting on more than 40kilos of muscle mass was quite a humble accomplishment for me.

hahaha... i dont want...
i entering bb to make myself look better.
not to the extend of competing or that level.
haha... just wanna be strong and muscular and not to the level of competing.
basically, just want to look great and feel great. =.=
its all about feel for me... its how i feel and whether i am happy wat the mirror shows. =.=
hahahaha

Yeah, same here. There're quite a few people at Ohm pestering me to compete. Lol, i told them I have no discipline to diet until 6 packs. I'm happy with my 4 pack any day. I'd rather look like someone who looks like I workout than any skinny dude who has a 6 pack but looks skinny as hell. Besides, not many beaches in Malaysia to show them off. =)

Ur strength is insane, i can do tat with 3 reps only lol.

Heh... the workout was over here:-

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=25873957

Was pretty surprised I had the stamina too. I usually go very short amount of reps for deadlifts. The weather was horrible. It sapped my strength away. I wanted to max out initially but I decided at the last moment to go light. So I cruised around 400 at the heaviest for 3 singles then went high reppers with the 315's.

kakaka... 315lbs i only manage 3 reps.
hmmm... gonna try to catch up by end of the year. =.=
at least 10 reps. hahaha...

darkie, hope u break ur PR soon...
and yeah... weather is a b**** these days! =.=
will contact u once i finish my exams. =.=
*
I'm not in a hurry to break PR's. I'm not into strength training but i do like giving some powerlifters at my gym a run for their money. It was a good challenge. Proves what Bob Cicherillo said,:-

QUOTE(Pro Bob Chick;246906851)
Strength gains aren't important to a competitive bodybuilder when it comes to building a physique, nor is it at the top of the list in terms of goals....winning physique shows are.

As time passes by and consistant training is established, strength will naturally go up to a point....cause and reaction.

But trying to move weight which is clearly TOO heavy is actually COUNTER -PRODUCTIVE to building muscle....as well as the most common mistake young aspiring BBers make...

To a true BBer...He would gladly trade a 100 lb. DB curl for a 21 in arm any day of the week.

QUOTE(jamis @ May 14 2009, 03:41 PM)
Yeah the weather wasnt tat appealing lately, thx to my good neighbour burning junk behind my house.

May be i should give it a shot for my cool down set, see if i can pull up to 10reps haha.

It's so hot and sweaty. Even after a shower at night I'm still dripping sweat. It sucks.

That looks very good imo. Keep it up. There's nothing wrong with cheat meals once in a while. What are you doing for workouts? You took the pic a bit too far away though.

well, rite now, i'm using these schedule provide by muscle and fitness mag...e.g..i'll combine both chest and back exercise..with 4 sets...2 early sets i'll do with heavy weights...and for the next 2,i'll take weight say 20% lighter than the heavy weights which i use in my earlier sets...if i'm in a hurry..i'll always go for supersets..which sumtimes i feel like i'm gonna puke at anytime.. sweat.gif ..

as for the pic..i'll try to get a better wan...for u guys to evaluate..it's good to ear a hustler like darlight giving me his tots...would welcome any comments or tips from u hustlers!! drool.gif

rite now..i'm running out of ideas on how should i shred my love handles... smile.gif ..darkie..any ideas?

darkie, when u play weights wat sorts of exercise do u recommend me to make my lower chest more define?or do u really think that i need to focus more on my diet?from wat i read..diet is like 70% more important than working out..is this true? hmm.gif
*
Lol.... you're doing HVT buddy. tongue.gif Definitely sounds like it.

You're still a beginner, focus on getting your chest as big as possible, then it'll all come out. You need a lot of rock if you want to sculpt something. Common sense no? =)

*
Good. Back and arms look solid. You need to touch up more on chest which i think is your weak part, especially the upper part. Upper lats could do with some work but you still have 3 weeks, I think you should be ok. Biceps need a bit more peak.
I don't know about the standards of the comp there but you should have no prob getting top 3.

honestly, if I'm still junior confirm top 3 but in open categories and competing above 75kg sure its gonna be tough..
*
What you can do is to try to compete at peak weight at the lighter category. Then you'll own them. =P Don't try going into a heavier category or you'll be in trouble.

actually in Malaysia is the other way around... all the big and ripped is at 65 to 75kg, that's why my friend and I trying to enter heavy.. but we'll see how it goes
*
But imagine if you peak in the lightest at a heavy category, it's going to be very hard right? They'll beat you at the size/mass game.

97% genetics, 3% the rest.

But you all should not get discouraged because one can get very impressive looking with just average genetics and being natural.

I do both, in off season i do slightly heavy but most of the time just do enough to feel the pump and burn...
*
Terry used to advise me that in the off season, go as heavy as you can but still keep reps moderately high but during precontest, strength isn't the focus but high reps going for the pump and burn for volumization. What're your ratios now for precontest?

I am not big but considered bigger than most of my ecto friends and uni dudes  sweat.gif
this is the sideview, got obvious tummy

[attachmentid=971227]

my goal is not getting in too big, I just hope to become lean and fit @ low bodyfat, right now is a little over 20%
my target body is similar to this forummer
http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/1030784

is it bulking = more protein, less in carbo and fat??
I take 1 scoop of whey mixed with 200ml of HLmilk as the post-workout meal, occasionally eating 1 to 2 half boiled egg as supper or post-workout, would that be enough?
*
Lol, you can't get too big. The way you're talking like you think it's so easy to build muscle. You can train and eat like an animal for a few months and you still won't get big, you'll grow but you won't get big. So stop saying shit like you wanna get toned only and not get too big.

If you really want to get toned, it's like making a nice sculpture from rock. Where's the sculpture if you can no rock in the first place. How're you gonna get toned if you don't even have mass in the first place?

1-2 eggs only give you 3-6 grams of protein. And minimum maintenance dose you need is 1gram per POUND of bodyweight. I'd say 2 scoops whey and 2 tablespoons dextrose (Glucolin)

pretty basic split body workout over 4/5 days
last week:
mon for chest
wed for shoulder
thu for arm
fri for back

8-10 mins cardio as warm up before working out, 30-45 mins of cardio after the workout, this is what my trainer told me

so far the chest, abs and arm muscles are getting stronger, I can feel they are harder compare to several months ago.

ppl says ecto are hard to gain fat, but I am one exception doh.gif I got more than 20% When I was young I was damn thin, not until recent years.
*
Idiot. No leg days. Don't grow then. The bigger your legs, the bigger the rest of your body.

*
I'm not anti steroid but I'm pro natural. And i'll tell you that all in that picture juice. The problem with most Malaysian bodybuilders are that they're lazy as shit. The Westerners are smarter, they train until they get as big as their genetic limit will allow, THEN they juice to overcome that limit. Most Malaysian fellas, they'll just start juicing the moment they start touching weights at beginner level. At advanced stages, finer points of advanced training techniques count for a lot. And these idiots won't realize it was the juice all this while and they will stagnate.

Oh they'll grow alright but when they start competing in the international comps, the Westerners will trash their asses. Again I say, I'm not anti steroid, just pro natural.
