I'm thinking of finally getting a full back piece. Any suggestions? Other than wings =P
Every time I ask people about back pieces, first response is "Wings!" Next response is "Angel wings!" So yeah, hopefully you forum tattoo enthusiasts have better creativity than that. |

Heh yeah I already said I'll never do dragons, phoenixes, tigers, birds, butterflies, chinese characters and meaningless tribal stuff.
I saw one on the facebook tattoo page of this guy who did the Avenged Sevenfold "Bat Skull" and other mini bat skulls. |

Unique |

QUOTE(thebassist @ Aug 10 2008, 04:53 PM) I'm thinking of finally getting a full back piece. Any suggestions? Other than wings =P i think a spine tattoo that lengths down from the neck to your butt crack would be awesome. check out Boristattooboris' website.Every time I ask people about back pieces, first response is "Wings!" Next response is "Angel wings!" So yeah, hopefully you forum tattoo enthusiasts have better creativity than that. but what i can think of for back pieces are orientals or something that is really really big. i've seen someone do a warhammer poster on his back, with the flames and sillhouettes. really awesome. or you can opt for bio-mechanical like aaron cain's style or guy aitchisons style. take a pick. if you're into realism, marine life. deano cook is an expert in that, check out his works. land animals, bob tyrell. you can do religious tattoos too. big st.mary, or jesus with the rays of light, st.michael is popular with the shield and the spear thru the dragons mouth. very cool. but it's just suggestions. hope you like i've suggested. other than just....WINGS. |

Thanks for the suggestions but having a huge portrait on the back seems like something I might regret in the future.
So f-cking undecided about this. Anyways, I shall go back to my room and think this through. Will post up pictures if I have it done. |

why not do it in parts. as in, in phases so that you can decide later whether you want to do the full piece or not

well u are indecisive.
But what i actually meant was, do a tattoo on your back. Then, if you want, do another one next to it that is in flow with the first one. Rinse and repeat. Then you'll end up with a collection of tattoos that make up a whole back piece. Not a half done one Edited typo This post has been edited by IcedNyior: Aug 10 2008, 09:28 PM |
