Hi guys, any recommendations for artists that does traditional American tattoos?

Also roughly how much would i cost for a half sleeve(shoulder to elbow)? I understand the final amount will vary, but just want a ballpark estimate to manage my budget. Thanks!

Also some additional questions, do artists charge per hour or isit per piece? Do they charge extra if theres a need for them to sketch? Meaning if they use 2 hours to sketch, will they charge for that?

Went in to cover-up my old tattoo, but it turned out the worst tattoo that I'd ever seen. The girl so called "artist" rush through the process, and the tattoo looks like a child drawing! There's an unbalance colour, lack of details, crook lines, and anything you can think of! You can see it for yourself.

During the tattoo process she was impatient, every tiny suggestion was a NO, and rush me to look at the mirror after it was done. After the tattoo was done, she ever dared to ask for another 100 ringgit!

When I raised the complaint they simply put the fault on me, never an apologies or anything. I asked if this kind of tattoo, could ever came out from their shop? No answer, nada, nothing.

And the tattoo now turned into Scar!

You can clearly see the tattoo itself turn into scar. That was very unprofessional for them to do and they didn't even apologize. I am so discouraged and disappointed.

This is by far one of the most traumatic events of my life. My confidence has been absolutely demolished by this. It's hard to see right now how I'll ever feel comfortable in my own skin. I'm leaning heavily towards laser removal. Most of the results I've seen are somewhat discouraging, but it's the only hope that I have. From what I can tell it will probably take 15+ over the course of four to five years.

Please not letting her anywhere near your body or you gonna regret it for your whole life.

By traditional American tattoo, is it the same as mine above? A ballpark figure will come to around 5k, depending on the complexity of artwork and individual artist.

For big artwork, artist usually charge by per hour. Charges for artwork depends. Better consult the artist.
