i'm actually inclined to agree. as i've already said, selling your diamond and getting a touch pro is totally not worth it. not much better, and you're basically forking out additional 1k, after taking into account the amount u have to top up.

ok..thanks for your opinion.
i heard the battery life of diamond is quite fast, it couldnt even last a full day ..is it true?
and from the way i read this thread, it is easily solve by just buying a car charger rite?

if this is true (solution)..then i will surely get the diamond.

it can last me for 2 days.....more on sms, second phone calls, slight gaming " tweeter" =p .....

i recently got myself a diamond
i juz love my diamond~ despite that it hangs pretty frequently... i just soft reset it and let it reboot... and it boot fast!

i think that omnia is too over priced... and i do not like it's build... diamond is much more solid... n nice...

i was considered whether to get Pro or Diamond... i choosed diamond over pro... as pro is a lil too thick!! u will feel a bulge in ur pocket... diamond is good... diamond is almost everything u need in a pda phone~ biggrin.gif

Yes, this was happen to me too. I had tried on a starbuck free wifi and can connect, but cant surf. I did study on this and this is my notes.

- Change ur WLAN power mode to best performance. (it help a bit)
- If ur connected WIFI access point only 1 or 2 bar, probably u'll not able to
surf. U need to go for other stronger signal in order to surf the net. (That is
why u dont have problem surfing at home, bcoz ur signal is at full bar !!)
- Last, TD built in WIFI card is not powerful enough. I tried with my old HW6515 with SD WIFI card, it seemed to have better results.

Added on September 26, 2008, 10:12 amI also in dilemma of TD or TP before I purchased TD. Besides the price difference (of course the main reason), I think TD enough to suite me. TP have higher specification, with camera flash and a QWERTY. For my case, I only SMS ocasionally and seldom use camera on phone. My purpose to buy a PDA phone, bcoz I use the calendar and GPS alot. It is really very good when u travel overseas. It is good to have everything (a mini-notebook) inside ur pants.

Make sure Activesync is working before you connect Mapsource to your phone, also startup the Garmin app first. You can't upload or download maps, only waypoints, route or tracks. Its good to have the same map version for both your mapsource and TD. If all else fails, start installing Mapsource all over again using my installation files and procedures in my blog.

Alright, went out for a trip to Penang last week and my MapKing GPS doesnt seem to work either. Whether is outdoor or indoor. Is there any better GPS software out there to test out GPS?

Anyway, i am wondering, it seems that the USB port for the Diamond is slightly different from the others. Can we use the "normal" mini USB on the Diamond?
