yes. moving down the road it will up and down, it may up to RM 10 before ex date or down to Rm 8 too.

Once you buy 1day before ex date then you only are entitled for the dividend

Yes. I get it. That what i mean if RM 8.8 ...after dividend payout, it will back to 8.5 at my first post. Yes, i havent own any Maybank stock at the moment , just want to get clearer picture before i put in my portfolio.

You should not value that way as dividends is bonus or free money on top of the stock and not to deduct the stock price from 🤦‍♀️

The stock price will remain based on the market price itself and dividends is a bonus on top of it to reward the shareholders
