I have have shifted halve from finance to glove during the past month. Now, portfolio weighs more on gloves.

Plantation and steel I'm skipping. O&G considering.

Looks like finance index is breaking out from the bull flag?
Conservative finance index target: 16300
Ambitious target (taking the whole flag pole): (16300-12000) + 14500 = 19000

Might be a good opportunity to chase at breakout. (PS: not limited to MBB only)

Just my 2 cents.


Btw the finance index weekly chart (to spot longer term trend) looks like this, the daily chart might have too much “noise” and volatility of the day-to-day fluctuations, and might confuse people

Lets see if there is breakout today. If yes, tomorrow I will chase the smaller banks (but not too small to limit risk) as their are cheaper in valuations and smaller banks better reflect economic growth.

Update

Finance index up 3.42% today. Although it hasn't break out from the bull flag, it formed a bullish engulfing pattern today. Most likely, tomorrow will break out, can start collecting finance counters boys.

If tomorrow break out like you predicted, I will sell my Maybank shares and maybe CIMB too... Also take profit BAT 20+%.
