Don't celebrate too soon.
When the new government took over last election, I thought I was lucky buying CIMB at a discount (was RM7.3 and I bought at RM6.4). Now it's RM4.6. luckily I sold earlier.

EPF obliges to support the KLSE, especially blue chips...

On that note, it has been buying Tenaga too, now less than 12...in 2008 also drop below 5..
*
Think you have you have to stop comparing 2008. The NTAs et al would have been very different then.

I don't monitor KLSE closely, just casual obervation above.  Anyway, I just pull up the chart and noted that Tenaga has been trading below 200dma since  Nov 2018 even before the market drop.
*
Maybe that's the reason it has not gone down as much as the others?

The only reason it could  hold as it is an defensive stock i.e. utility but stocks trading under 200dma are usually very volatile with downward movement until the break above 200dma...but then again,  with the market situation now, not too positive it would not drop further.. ok we digress, OT.
*
You are right. Tenaga is a utility which is almost a Monopoly. Thus, a pretty good buy

OT, with oil price plunging, fuel price should be cheap across, from gas to coal, which is a plus point of power generation.

Lockdown, travel ban, people still needs to use electricity.
*
Yes. Reason why utility tends to be viewed as defensive. Oil price plunging will be a very big plus, although much of Tenaga's power generation is out sourced.

IF and IF Maybank can continue to pay 8+% of dividends, it will be great for the local funds.

I don't think so. It has been announced and the dividend accounts for previous performance. Future dividends, maybe.

Many banks in Euro are defering.

HSBC and Standard chartered are the latest.
