QUOTE(AthrunIJ @ Aug 21 2020, 05:03 PM) Well, don't have much capital to start with anyways. So only top up when salary is in π’. Probably after have much more capital then can put aside some capital to dump into stocks with low prices π I mean won't put a big % into the div stock at this moment. Enough at plan %. The rest, buy a high yield/ fast earn stock. So can earn more to dump into div stock later. Div/bank stock is slow to grow boring stock. Which will waste your opportunity if dump it in in good time. |

QUOTE(prophetjul @ Aug 24 2020, 10:17 AM) You just have to manage. Start early. i wished i started even earlier. So mostly you don't change much the portfolio? Each sector have it cycle time. Hgh to low. bad to good. So you got to constant monitor the income? 50% of my investment holdings are NON Msian currency based. That's a start. Since 2008. I am heavily into SG REits as they do not have any tax on dividends. They are certainly better than FD rates! And the SGD has earned me lots in Forex too. Gold. I have been in gold since 2002. Its a stabiliser to my investments in bad and rocky times. It's also a currency hedge on the MYR. My investments in KLSE is pretty small. Maybank since long time ago. The rest is EPF. If EPF keeps on reducing, i will probably remove more out of this. Finally, FD is only for emergency funds. But I realize since you're retire, you have more time to manage the finance. I neglect my investment cause occupy by my busy job. But MCO slow me down to check back and re think my investment. I plan to takeout all the EPF when retire. After realize that it is not what I can control and no confident on the gov flipfop policy. What do you think? My strategy now is 50/50 between KLSE and US investment. But can see US stock are gain faster. At the same time need some steady income from bank div too. Recently reduce the MY Reits as it getting worst. So not into reits anymore. |

QUOTE(Ziet Inv @ Aug 26 2020, 11:46 PM) Also kinda on the fence with this, seems to be exploring 52-week low soon? Already topped up few times tangan lembik edi If you still young and working, no need rush into div stock. Now looking at US stock much more interesting; wouldnt be surprised if my entire portfolio is converted into growth tech stock XD It waste your learning time and money. |

QUOTE(HereToLearn @ Nov 10 2020, 01:27 PM) Maybe operators have collected enough of cheap tickets within a time span of 6 months and start pushing it? Just asking. I m holding maybank for long.Maybe Pfizer vaccine efficiency is so good that people start playing the soon-to-be recovery plays? See US bank stocks, HSBC share, a lot of them up >10% yesterday Maybe foreign fund is rotating back? If you have holding period of more than 2 years, you should be fine. Dont worry It just unusual to see maybank spike. QUOTE(HereToLearn @ Nov 10 2020, 01:31 PM) I thought EPF. EPF can pump the market high. BTW, CIMB, Public also up. |

QUOTE(Ziet Inv @ Nov 10 2020, 09:15 PM) Anyone plan to cash out? I'm doing so to preserve cash for my US stocks ehehe, done with divi stocks in KLSE I m thinking to cash out. Changing my strategy since situation change.Since no dividen 1st half, cash out can earn me some profit. And wait for it pullback to buy back. I m still looking for 2nd half div. |

QUOTE(Ziet Inv @ Nov 12 2020, 08:33 PM) I pull out mainly because I want to focus on growth, 6-8% dividend p.a. on a sunset industry just doesn't fit what I want anymore (not that its wrong). I m more diversified. And maintain 20% in bursa. Even I know it slow and not as great as US market.I could be wrong, but I wanted to take more risks with growth assets. All the best brother, I cashed out some profits at 7.80. Cheers! As long you do your homework the risk is low in growth stock. I m abit greedy. Wait for 8. Ziet Inv liked this post

QUOTE(HereToLearn @ Nov 13 2020, 11:42 AM) Today all red. Minor pullback, but didnt drop enough for collection opportunity. Friday usual take profit.Btw, foreign fund has been coming in since few days ago. They triggered the recovery stocks spike. If the fund flow can be maintained, recovery theme will be further strengthened. https://www.bursamalaysia.com/market_inform...stic/securities And holiday tomorrow. |
