repair it yourself is cheaper. nod.gif just need a T1 screwdriver, 00 flat screwdriver. thats it. that T1 screwdriver is roughly RM25-35 depending where u buy it.
also, you got little bro/sis in ur house? pets maybe?. crack doesnt 'just appear' like that.

Well it's all sorted out wink.gif

Yes, it's for psp slim. Psp phat cost much more cheaper than that. I want to ask.. How about the backlight? must i buy one more or can i use my PSP default backlight (abit noob in this issue)

2nd: yes they have world wide shipping and it's free. Only thing is they say max of 2 weeks delivery. So i guess i have to wait but i dnt really mind biggrin.gif
*
if u replace the screen, the backlight will be okay too since the backlight is inside the screen. unless the fuse is blown, that'll be repaired too with a new screen. nod.gif

Hey guys may I know what internet browser are you using for the PSP?
The default browser does not support Java and it's just a pain in the ass to serve the net with the PSP.
Does anyone know if there is a homebrew internet browser that has better features and manageability?
*

too bad psp doesnt support flash. im assuming you wanna watch youtube on psp? tongue.gif
that'll be quite impossible. however, you can download those youtube videos from your computer and install a program called PSPTube into your psp to watch .flv type video files. nod.gif

Anyway I'm asking for a better browser because the default one is so incomplete and I can't open facebook properly with it.
*
well, that app is PSPTube. other than that stock browser, i havent came across anything else. yeah, kinda pain in the ass surfing with it. good thing myspace got this myspace mobile. laugh.gif

Answer to ur question..There's no umd disc inside the psp.I dont even own 1  tongue.gif
*

o'rly?..
hmm. thats kinda weird. usually things like that happen when you left the umd inside for too long, the umd detector in the psp gets pressed for so long that it cant return to the normal 'off' state.
i dont really know much in this area, but maybe you can try this

open up the umd door and look inside the umd area. looking from back, you can see a little toggle switch on the top left corner in there, and a press switch somewhere in the centre. try nudging them a little. but not too hard, scared might damage it. maybe the switch got stuck on the inside. tricks the psp that there is a umd inside, but cant read since there are no umd inside.

what kinda usb cable you're using? try using a different cable, preferably cables used to transfer data from electronics such as phones n pda. try not to use the cable you use to connect with m4p players. some of them only use 4 of the 5 pins on it.

*

why not try with another cable. if its not the cable, then you got some problem.

since the mem stick is a storage device, you can defragment it with your pc like the hard disk. it speeds up the read/write speed, but its not permanent. after the data in there gets fragmented back, just defragment it again.
very noticeable speed in moving data inside the mem stick using Adhoc File Transfer v0.7.

tnye ckit, kalo kter gune av cable yg out kt TV tuh,ble men kt TV kan?cmne ngn kualiti gmbr die?same cm kter tgk lam psp ker?n then fat xbley ke kalo nk men kt tv?xde av cable yg support or kene mod dulu?
*

well, bergantung la. kalau main kat tv crt biasa je, quality agak tong sampah la. paling bagus kalau main kat lcd/plasma tv widescreen yang ratio 16:9 sebab bole fullscreen. n gambar jelas.
tak ada av out cable untuk fat sebab fat memang tak support av out. slim saja ada.

maybe will take a long time before can crack it open. the current newest motherboard for the slim is already non-pandorable. so the 3000 will be harder..

p/s : i already search all the playstation thread , the mod keep on closing the thread --"
*

its actually the kopitiam's wifi spot. try looking for a wifi spot somewhere else. maybe the one at the kopitiam isnt compatible with the psp.
i got this problem too when i had bought my psp. tried connecting at this Starbucks at ts. cant connect. was going to storm the shop and give him a piece of my mind, but then i tried at the lowyat wifi spot, it works. laugh.gif

i seriously wonder, why people keep asking for fat or slim? is there any new fat psp around still?

bluestolks. i think psp is using 802.11b, so some access point is 802.11g.
*

em, yea, something like that.. haha.
i dont really know much about access points too.

and, did i mention i had problem at starbucks?..

simple example:

psp sold in sungai wang = all modded

Truth or False?
*

not sure. who got the time to ask every shop there whether cracked or not? laugh.gif
but as long as you ask, then its okay.

greetings guys.. i would wanna know.. how do i get to use the skype in my psp... i know we require a specific headset with mic for it.. but how do i go about getting it? does third party makers sell it or only sony does it? and how much does it costs? im an avid skype user and it would be better if i get to keep in contact thru my psp too...
*

you need to buy a skype approved headset. skype dont work with regular headset, example the socom headset. i havent found a store selling one though. but maybe you can google a bit more on skype approved psp headset. nod.gif
