i got problem with this casing. i want to make a hole in the transparent plastic, so i can put my fan there. but i got no idea how to "open" a hole there. please advise.

y u wanna "open" hole..haha jus cut hole ther la bro..u can use holesaw or adjustable cutter..if dun hv tools myb u can ask sum1 here dat offer service for it

send it to any acrylic shop..they will open it for u..

i want try to use pen knife, my friend say cannot cut wan.. sure make the plastic got scratch.. summore i dont have tools to DIY. anyway thanks to MFCM and renesisx.

Pen knife can only be used to make a small groove in acrylic, which can be used to break it cleanly along the line. However, this doesn't really work well for anything other than straight lines. For curved lines, you need to use a coping saw, jigsaw or rotary tool (eg. dremel ).

OIC.. like tat hior.. lucky dint start cuttin with pen knife.. else my casing habis.

send to shop for better work..

jus use choping saw..cost u few ringgit oni..but buy extra the blade..ocz its easy to broken once its too much heated

anyway, which position you plan to make the blowhole?

are on top of CPU fan or beside GC??

120mm or 80mm fan?

you need to plan 1st before really cutting it down.

plan.............

on the side, the transparent side. put 2 pcs of 120mm fan there to blow GC and processor. Top and btm.

hehehe, i just use pencil knife n some cd to cut a hole in my prev case mod
like TS, i dun have any DIY tools, n i do not have fine skill to use a jigsaw
i used mini disc (that come with any usb device like pendrive, not use it as always use xp n vista now) for 80mm fan, and normal sized disc for 120mm fan,... of course take quite an effort n time to do it, but finally i made it

maybe can use door hole saw to make hole

already sold that case few ago
need money at that time, selling my rig as a set w/o monitor

later will start mod another casing, maybe changing to BTX style, and for sure, cut hole for fan by pencil knife n cd coz dun have those tools

for jus 1mm i think wont hv prob if using pen knife..if u cut 3mm,4mm or 5mm arcylic?

nope, the acrylic i used before was 3mm thick, that's why i said it take lots of effort n time to finish it, but what can i do, no proper tools for it, hantam sajalah...
