IMO, your room setup looks fine to me.
As i mentioned earlier, Cardas's website serves as a reference and general speakers. Just try not to have the same distance from side/front wall, the ratio is not so important, but no harm to try cardas's tips, right. Please be patient in your speaker placement, it takes time but once you find the 'sweet' spot, you will find your effort is deserved.
Also, if you find your bass still boomy especially long hour listening even you move your speaker away from front walls. You need to consider to have bass trap installed at front wall corners as Mugenfoo's post above. If you have extra carpets, roll them and place them vertically like a round column at corners, see if it helps to reduce the bass (that's my guess).
I think i would not discuss about SPL now, trust your ear and take your time, do trial and error, Just make this exploration fun by moving around your speakers (remember to put masking tape, so you can shift them back as you like).
Good luck and hope to hear from you after getting the 'sweet' spot.
Btw, forgot to ask what brand/model is your speaker? SFCD ?

Ya hor.. How come I have never thought of rolling up spare carpets and put them at the corners.. This is a good idea to do experiment. Will try out the Cardas' tips.
Weekdays are busy working days.
Probably will try it out this weekend.
Honestly, I do not own any SF but I like to take part in this thread.
I am using a good old pair of Epos ES11.
I even think of buying a pair of SFCD but I do not have enough money for it.
It is sad that they no longer make the Domus.
They are beautifully and well made.
