QUOTE(wzseow @ Oct 16 2008, 11:57 AM) Pennywise, Marquis will grow up into a handsome looking dog for sure. All the female dogs will fall for him, he's sooooo cute! Post more pictures of him k =) We will see when he grow up. Hahaha... I noticed for Westie (since I have 3 now), they grow up to full size a little more than a year... One day, I came home and touch Moonie and feel her bone structure is different from the night before. Suddenly beef up and become strong like that.Doraemon, thanks for the compliment on Snowball. I used DSLR to take those pictures, hence the quality. Still thinking about this Sunday, will inform you guys latest on Saturday evening whether I'll be able to join or not. I'm staying in Kota Kemuning =) Today is Casper birthday so I am going to cook for him. No oil because they get fat very easily. Minced chicken meat with eggs, coupled with kibbles and supplement! Nothing grand cause I know some of the ppl here actually have cakes and birthday hat for their dogs. Casper hate all those hat / clothes thing. Haha.. Wah Casper so lucky get such treats for birthday. Snowball gets Burp! as dinner for his monthly birthday, and 2 meals of Burp! for yearly birthday =)
I only stick to kibbles, no other food for him, not even vegetables and fruits, no bread too! Lucky thing he likes kibbles and can contain himself from begging food from us |

QUOTE(Doraemon11 @ Oct 17 2008, 01:39 PM) Nutro Choice - Adult Lamb and rice.Price is around RM150 for 15kg, which can last about 5 months +- For your puppy you should feed her Nutro Puppy, because I fed Snowball with that for 16 months and look what he's turned into. Very good food for his skin and coat |

Mine is very simple only. Sliced beef + minced chicken meat + egg + kibbles was their meal yesterday. I only stick to kibbles, no other food for him, not even vegetables and fruits, no bread too! Lucky thing he likes kibbles and can contain himself from begging food from us I think Burp! x2 is about the price of what I cooked yesterday for all 3 dogs. Most of the time I also stick to kibbles but birthday, something idfferent la. My dogs are quite choosy. QUOTE(larryho @ Oct 17 2008, 02:14 PM) Hi guys, It is a waste that you cannot come with us. I was hoping that you'll be able to join. Nevermind, we catch you next time. How bad is Casper's skin? I have never tried Nutro Choice. I like Natural Balance and Evanger more than other brands. I also stopped buying 15kg bags because the kibbles spoil easily. Last time I bought Blackwood and another brand (forgot), end of the 2nd month, got worm already. Money wasted.Price is around RM150 for 15kg, which can last about 5 months +- For your puppy you should feed her Nutro Puppy, because I fed Snowball with that for 16 months and look what he's turned into. Very good food for his skin and coat 7kg bag is ideal for me. |

7kg for 2 dogs can last about 1 month+... say about 6 weeks. Natural balance is for all life stages but their kibbles are quite big and Marquis is still small. Yes, larryho westie is also name Casper.
My westies are around 9-10kg. |

This is my second pack of 15kg kibbles, the first pack there was no growth of worm in it. Where did you keep it? I kept mine in the store room, which was not exposed to sunlight and probably not that damp?
Pennywise, you didnt soak the food for your little Marquis? I soak Snowball's food for about 20minutes with hot water, till he was around 4 months when he has finished teething. Your westies are much heavier than mine! Snowball had his yearly vaccination last saturday, and he weighs only 6.34kg. The vet told me to maintain that weight, as he's a bit on the plump side. |

I keep my kibbles in a black plastic bag (sampah tong type), tied it up and put it into a gold color square tin (like those used by biscuit vendor in pasar malam), worm still came so regardless whether is dry or not, worm still came for me.
That's like the storage kibbles while I poured out half into a large 7 litre container to be fed daily. Once I'm done with the first half, I open the second half and poured some more. Before long, I realized there's white spots on the kibble and later on, worms. I do soak Marquis kibbles in water but once a week, I will give him hard kibbles so he get stronger teeth. The Natural Balance kibbles are almost like 20 cent coin so big, Marquis cannot eat it properly. I'll probably try later when his Eukanuba puppy runs out. Hahaha... Moonie is a heavy bone Westie. You feel her body is more steady and harder than Casper's. |

NB kibble smaller than 10 cent coin meh? I see like quite big so I didnt feed it to Marquis. He's still eating those small small biji from Eukanuba. Small boy, small mouth, small kibble.Pennywise.. u dnt kidding and play play ha.... heheehe I just measure NB kibble jor.. it's slighly smaller den 10cents coin only ha... QUOTE(ihawk98 @ Oct 18 2008, 04:57 PM) wah pennywise, thank for the sms alert. didn't know that there are more Westie owners now. Welcome. Yup, thread's getting alive and many ppl are coming in and out to leave a post or two. very cool! about the kibbles, buffy's skin problem was still an issue so i switched from Royal Canin (chicken) to Nutro Lamb and Rice for many months, and now Natural Balance Potato and Duck. if the duck oso susah, then she gonna get vegetarian food liao. How bad is Buffy skin problem? I think larryho's Casper also same case. You can speak to him to see if he has any kibbles to recommend you. I've never tried Royal Canin (due to its expensive) nor Nutro Lamb before. Lamb for Buffy also problem? Can also try Eaglepack fish and berries one la. Should be ok right? QUOTE(joeycheong23 @ Oct 18 2008, 05:42 PM) Yup there are. Dont wish, just go buy. Is that a westie in your avatar? |
