Hi, im planning to re-finance my existing home-loan but not sure whether its worth or not.
Current TL is with Maybank without amount around 200k with MRTA. The prescribe rate is current at BLR +0.35% for 3 years and thereafter BLR +0.25% for 5 years. After that it will be charged at BLR +0.00% until full settlement of loan. The spicific TnC: Early settlement fee of 1.5% if the loan is settled within 5 years from the date of full loan realease(starting 2007, still within the time-frame) May I know what does this specific TnC means? Is it the bank will charge 1.5% of the outstanding loan(current at around 200k), which is RM3,000 if i going for re-finance right now? Does it worth to refinance at current rate of interest? Pls advise by PM me. Thanks a lot |

I believe the paperwork must be stuck somewhere, best person to advice you would actually be the lawyer. Did the lawyer inform you what documents were pending? Some common issues: 1. Your current bank has not given them the redemption statement 2. The valuer has not sent the report to the bank 3. Assessment/maintenance fee statement not submitted Feel free to contact me, I'll try to advice you if you can share more details with me. hi roy,
thanks for prompts reply, fyi this is symphony heights projects and according to the marketing agency they had mentioned a list name of banks such as ocbc, hong leong, rhb. But, i'm not to sure about others banks because they themselves said that my application will be sent to all the banks in malaysia through mortgage brokers.what i'm afraid is that, i think i will miss if some other banks provide best deal in town.Or, is it the best way is just leave to the developer to find a suitable home loan for me? tq. |
