After watching the trailer in HD, I can't help but noticed this movie has Starcraft and Warcraft looks to it

I think i read somewhere that this new 3D technology for Avatar require a special 3D camera. again, i wonder if we are getting that. watching the trailer is nice if you are into sci-fi/animation stuff but may not appeal to everyone.

saw the new trailer earlier today... one word.. AWESOME!

Just saw teaser, looks daaaaaaa-yumn pretty. Agree with previous poster who said this is like Kashyyyk in Star Wars. But this looks more comprehensive/ realistic.

The sequence where Sam Worthington is getting out of the plane... it looks like he's rendered, but then... it doesn't. There's some awesome sh!t right there.

If they ever get around to making the HALO movie, they need to get the design + effects guys of this movie....

this's wut i get from the trailer...

protagonist posses/uses alien body...fall in love with alien female (maybe)...then somehow got cought up in the battle between humans n aliens??

juz back from the screening.

this movie is more than juz about plot and CGI, on top of all those is the experience. the 3D here is not those in-yer-face 3D. u know... things flying straight at you. There are scene where you just feel like you are sitting at the back row among the action. The forest scene is really amazing. feel like you are immerse in the forest.

I am not so totally over the top with the CGI part cause in these days, given loads of money (i read Avatar cost upward USD200mil) and a reputable director, the CGI will be good. What i came out amazed is the 3D experience. I particularly like the forest scenes. Its like no alien planet i have seen before.

word of advice for those with glasses, when you go to this movie come December, wear contact lenses. Putting on 2 glasses for hours will not be comfortable.

The trailer screen at the end of the 15min also comes in 3D.

3d glasses can fit over normal glasses or not?

it won't fit nicely la. this Dolby 3D glasses is so much better then the 3D glasses i got when i watch spy kid 3D years back. Its oni 15min so i went with my glasses. its ok to me but i can imagine over an hours wearing that won't feel nice to me.

The trailer in the end though is 3D but i don't get the overwhelmed feeling. probably because its a trailer and every scenes are fast and no continuity.

from now until Dec, i'll juz enjoy the 1080p teaser trailer to wet my appetite.

easily the best film over the past years!!!
