Links for the tracks will be given shortly.

Great moves admin. That oval inclusion is damn great.

Personally I'm okay with the track choices. We never been to Monaco so I'm ok for it. We survive Macau well didn't we?

Welcome gg, hopefully we can better administer the league.

I have tested the track detroit upped to the server. Guess what I really really like the track to the disappointments of many. It's very challenging but very very easy if you have a decent setup.

I can get a car to lap this track at 1.23 full load fuel first time out with a very easy full wing setup. I made a modification that I can't tell here because mara will be reading. laugh.gif

But come to the track and I'll help you. The way to drive this track is brake first very quickly to the 1st gear, don't carry the speed into corners, and upon acceleration before it reaches red point shift a gear up early.

Penzman, if you can PM me your version of the track I will be glad to have a try. But remember I really really love this server version of Detroit because it has a different feel to it.

We can discuss after I tested your version, so far it's unfair to me to give comments this early.

Let's participate n discuss

Apart from better handling in hairpins and slow corners, I ve found this extra steering travel saved me many time s when AI bumps from behind, really allows me to bring the car back straight with more real life movement/reaction as I ve done myself before in a car. I've often done this in real life when driving  on snow and ice and lost control temporarily and then slid back onto ashphalt. Loads of fun these Champ Cars when driving with two feet.
*
True, I have always promoted this at settings via steering lock. But you cant learn the precision in a day. Try it for race distance and you will know why long wheel travel equals to better precision.

The key only to check against hairpin, you must be able to negotiate hairpin at almost your maximum comfortable hand ability. If the track is fast without hairpins then you can have very very minimal steer lock.

Downloaded new mod which is a blast and almost my fav tin top race car now. I hope you guys like it maybe we can have special event using this car.

Indeed...indeed....

Thats why i thought G25 runners would have clear advantage over momo users this season. But adding to what PC said, it didnt take a day for the arms to develop the steering behaviour in simracing...both momo and g25 users would use and adapt to what they have already learned.

900 deg lock to lock FTW!!
*
I will use that no problem, some mods have only ability to select not more than 20 degrees. That is the problem. But now there is no problem with choosing 900 deg as most mod nowadays have 23 degs steer lock option.

Mara, I think most of the guys would develop the arms no problem. But some just wont bcos of bad habits. There is no such thing as perfected driving, there is always more to discover.

I got the idea the other day when watching footage of an on board cam  pointing from behind the wheel at the driver and could see how much wheel travel happens and even at times  hands crossing, nowhere near the maximum 10 and 2 o'clock steering movement  I was doing.
*
Yup, FYI I have been arms crossings at hairpins since the day I get the G25.

Raist86, here a trick to get more money.
Start a race week end or join a race,
type ISI_BABYFACTORY (capital letters) in the chat box under MONITOR
Leave game, you will get 2 billion dollars in cash and can buy anything you want.

Regarding pace car updates and maybe future updates, we'd better triple check that everyone has downloaded it before the 1st race. I guarantee you someone will be missing a file when they are scattered here and there on different pages  in this thread, we should release a single pack file instead prior to the first race.
*
Agreed, I think evo has posted the link at the announcement thread.

Ok, 150 km/h although still slow but okla compared to 80. On a long track we are going to lose more than 5-10 mins approx per SC run. On a positive side at least we can rest and have chances if we did some mistakes early on. Cmon crash some car guys... biggrin.gif

We have dupe post in our announcement thread in our forum....always check our forums for updates. The post in this page is just a prompter. We release one updates by one updates because we ourself is new to this mod and we discover new things to do everytime and keeping one update at a time help us to test it for relevance or errors.

So far we only have the addiditon of VRT team (compulsory download) and individual skins (not compulsory)

and we have the safety car update (compulsory download).
*
So far good job, I'm not lost yet, bcos when people like me who keep tracking lost, then it's a bad sign of management part. I mean If I keep track but still lose imagine for those who don't keep track. They will definitely be in the dark. icon_question.gif

Simplest way is to replace track it think...its pretty weird that happened tho... laugh.gif

Added on May 30, 2008, 9:10 pmIve tested in in Fuji (fast track) and st. petersburg (street track) both have no issues...im not sure what causing that in Assen tho....hmmm

Added on May 30, 2008, 9:13 pmI'll test in the remaining tracks and report.
*
More simpler is to disable the SC at tracks where bug occurs. Looking at Assen where the track is wide and all, I dont think we will have a yellow flag even. Or maybe difficult to get one.

Thx for sharing Jacky, will buy cheap RM50 webcam & try it, we all should try, at least can have extra view left & right of the rival, less accident coming in & going out of the corner by tolerating each other.

I have Akina track, beautiful track  tongue.gif  Suitable for drifter.

Yeah penz I did get some beating today. One of that beating is exactly like the picture below. tongue.gif

Anyway as a chief marshal I would like to again remind when recovering from accidents particularly at street tracks pls check the radar. Do not make a move to the racing line until radar is clear.

Hahah time for a few examples:

QUOTE(maranello55 @ Jun 1 2008, 11:54 PM)
I think we judge the gap ourself and see who is infront of us on track, is he fast or slower than u. I always give enough gap to the one infront of me.

I know its a bit tight for those in the mid pack. But before u hit the track, see the incoming cars, wether hes on his inlap or hotlap.

I had a moment with Penzman just now, i think during 'Full course Yellow Pending', we can still overtake? I hesitated and slow coz the rest was slowing down as well..lol

Added on June 1, 2008, 11:56 pm

I think u were too close to the safety car perhaps. U can let a gap between u and SC at approaching the final corner so u can start u accelerate as soon as SC got back into the pit and green flag. Were there a green flag msg? I think there was...

Added on June 1, 2008, 11:59 pmu will get 'you are driving too slow' but just for a moment before its green flag.
*
There are also some annoying attributes to the sc. Pitt n someone spun, Then I hit them both because they are in the middle of the track. After that yellow flag was issued and pitt has his car pointing to the backward direction, so I pass him because of the three cars, only I have my car pointing to the right direction but I have been told to stay behind pitt. Any human being marshal would give me the position anytime.

Sorry, if you don't understand but I think the replay tells all. That is the moment before safety car was triggered by pitt and that someone and I collected them in the mid of the road.

Dzariq, normally if you watch F1 race, they let the SC go very very far into the distance before taking the final corner and decides when to bash the throttle.

But SC was cool though, and the race if not for the moving parking car that distracts me a lot, it's a great race. Street track for cars these fast is definitely something else. One obstacle in front and you are dead.

Gathering next week, better rent a van for 3 family....save fuel & toll....lol

Oh GRID feedback, its arcade, superb graphic, mara boleh convert trek & kereta GRID masuk rFactor tak....lol

OMG, my place jammed, congestion like mad. For an oil producing country RM2.70 per litre is nightmare. Well, the people has chosen the government, it's now our time to suffer. My lpt2 project is doom to fail. Currently we decided that bitumen phase for RnR area Perasing border of Kemaman is call for seperate tender. So we dont have a tar/bitum/aspahlt road for the Rnr. LOL. Time to get yourselves a 4wd.

Fell asleep last night after a late spaghetti dinner, woke up too late for the mini-test race.
*
Don't worry, we can have some more test race tonight.

You see for every test race, I did some amendments to the setup, I seldom run all test race using the same setup. This way prior to the beginning of the season I make sure at least I have practical information on the car. Last night setup wasn't good enough under braking approaching corkscrew. I think I know what to adjust to solve this problem. But solving this problem might cause the other sector to suffer, but since the corkscrew is somewhat dangerous, I rather compromise.

One more thing, race test is actually where I get the most information on the car, because I'm quite lazy to test alone. I prefer 20 cars testing altogether hence I always tempt you guys to test races tongue.gif . It makes my testing session a bit serious because I can't afford to lost it against the wall.

I have not moved to Vista as of yet due to compatibility problems with many of engineering softwares out there. I think you better check out with the guys at Software, they might have more information.

I feel backward, I don't know much about vista in and out. I have Vista Ultimate DVD collecting dust here. Haha.

Last time I heard, vista got problems with G25 wheel, I think should have been sorted out already.

Mara you really really know how to spice up the interview eh tongue.gif Nice man.

Caitt, Vista utk dengar lagu. Perghh Microsoft dgr kecewa tu bro.

Honestly if you are not looking for games eye candy enabled just for vista, XP is more than enough. XP is still a perfect substitute for VISTA.
